AMHFCU MobileTeller for Android
The edeposit app has gotten so buggy I am hesitant to even use it anymore. Leads to rejected deposits for poor image quality *all* the time. Seems not to work on Sundays, mostly. Useless.
Used the app mostly to deposit checks. That functionality just dies though. The check images come in blurry even though when they're taken they're clear. This results in the images not being accepted. Please fix!
If you're hoping to use this app for ease of online banking, don't. My edeposit worked until about July, then just stopped. Everytime I take a picture of the front of my check, the app closes out. Tech support tells me to uninstall and get the most up to date version. I've done this. 10 times. It is obviously the app and they have no intention of fixing it. Even checking my account info is a hassle, as the lag time is ridiculous and the app keeps going into individual transactions. I would not recommend.
This app looks like it was developed in 2008. It usually does allow you use it for basic banking functions: -check balances -deposit a check -transfer between accounts But this is after the sign in process, which can take up to 5 minuets to load.
Works but performs terribly and logs you out every time you switch apps or go to your home screen. I will keep using the browser to avoid this terrible feature for everything but mobile check deposits.
I can't scroll the app at all. The edeposit doesn't work at all. I have a Galaxy S7 and the app still can't recognize the text on the check.
This app worked decently well for edeposits (provided you never tried on a Sunday evening, as they always seemed to be doing maintenance then). But now I can't seem to do it at all: the function just disappeared! This was 90% of the day I engaged with this app or in fact with this bank. Leaving soon if this can't be fixed.
This app does what it's supposed to, although it leaves you wanting for much much more. I am genuinely considering switching banks so I can have a more user friendly app, which is where I do all of my banking. I would look past everything else if it had a way to bypass the password with a finger print but it doesn't have that. In short it's better than nothing, but that doesn't mean it's good
I haven't been able to make an edeposit for 3 weeks now. I've called customer serv. twice and they've told me the same thing, uninstall and install it back, yet three weeks later and no improvement. I'll delete the bad review once the problem is resolved.
Terrible, developer should be fired. Every time I try to e-deposit a check, the number keyboard will disappear as I try to type the check amount. This leads me to hit the help button which is frustratingly slow to load. If AMHFCU does not fix this soon I'm taking my business to a CU or bank that embraces modern technology and is willing invest in mobile applications.
System works and its not confusing but hey here is issue.. the system laggs a lot and issue of the concern is when I see the app slows down. It laggs a whole lot of time. the next update should try to reduce lag time when opening and surfing around the app phone.
The app has the basic features that it is supposed to, but none of them are intuitive or easy to use. One of the worst examples is that in the mobile deposit screen when you go to take a picture of the check the image is mirrored from the camera, which makes it next to impossible to use. This version seems like it should have been the beta and they needed one more round if tweaks before releasing it... hopefully they will work out the bugs soon.
Wish my old app still worked (it doesn't) because this is the worst! I would get fired if I made something this bad. AHFCU is going downhill ever since they got big enough to have TV ads, they've gotten worse and worse with customer service. I want my old app and credit union back. Time to move on, I guess.
Just too many occurrences where app freezes or just stops working. Also, need more up-to-date working features that other bank apps have!
This is supposed to be an improvement? The old app was perfect. This is slow and choppy. Can't even scroll without chop. Sucks!
This app stinks!! All i want is e deposit to save trips to the bank. No luck with that. Come on folks make it work.
Is anyone at American Heritage even reading these reviews?? Looked up app in Google play hoping for an update... But no. The old app was soooo so much better than this one. A ton faster, simpler and easier to use, with all the same features, including edeposit. So, why did you force us to switch to this app??!! Seriously makes me want to find a new bank. In this age of technology, having an app this slow and unintuitive is just unacceptable. Even typing is laggy. Ridiculous. Get with the program, amhfcu!
It feels as though the app is not quite finished. Very slow in response time. Old app was definitely better. One thing I can say that it does look better.
Never have I been able to deposit a check using this app! I will refrain from telling you how I really feel about it due to the bad words that I would to describe it...just know I'm NOT a fan!
This app is awful! It malfunctions more often than not and both branch and mainline customer service will not help or call back to help you when it malfunctions. They are as bewildered as the end user. This is in no way an upgrade. It doesn't look better, it isn't easier to use, and it's less functional. It's a lose-lose situation all the way around.
You need a better way to log out. Once you hit the log out option it take you the main menu, however thats as far as you can go. ( i want to log out all the way out!!!)
The old app was way better . This one is too laggy (if that's a word).
The deposit feature doesnt clearly read checks, even those which are computer printed. The app is slow to work in all sections except for log out.
Works ok. But when entering numbers for deposits and paying bills, no decimal is available. The app wont recognize the amount you want. Will take some rounded amounts.
Check deposit takes photos upside down.
I don't like the fact that I have to confirm my personal info (ie: my entire profile) every time I log in...it's really annoying
The new UI is far more clunky and poorly designed than the old UI. Why ruin something that worked just fine?
The edeposit does not work!!!!!!!Fast balances does not work!!!!!! What is the point of this?????? Is anyone listening to us????? Did they even bother to test this before they got rid of the old app??????
Time I open the app it closes out and goes back to the home screen
The older app doesn't work, and this app is super slow. Please fix one of them.
Issues with camera when depositing checks on Nexus 5x.
So much for Material Design! I'm so glad my Android can finally look like an iPhone. Big clunky fonts and menus, tons of wasted white space, takes 3x as long to do the same thing as on the old app. I'm sold! When you finally decide to fire the developer and rewrite this p.o.s. from the ground up please follow the material design guidelines and don't simply feed us some half baked version of the ios app. While your at it, a dark theme would be nice so I don't have to blind the world with my banking info.
It's for people who get confused easily, I'm referring to the old, and young and dumb. Bold font, not as smooth and as clear as before. Go back to the old format please!
I really like this app. It doesn't feel finished, but it's still very useful. It's very laggy/slow right now, but I'm looking forward to more updates. May I suggest fingerprint and alternate pin security?
The old version was much faster, smoother and easier to e-deposit and make transfers. Disappointed!
Feels unfinished and clunky. I liked the old app much better
Takes to many steps to log into my account. Old version was way better. Please, change it back to the old style.
Is that the sound of Taps being played...what a way to kill a good app. Slow, clunky, and likes to freeze. I see a lot of updates in the future.
The app responds to input relatively slowly, especially moving between pages. The menu is odd being on the left and not the right. You can still scroll the page, not the menu, when the menu is open (the menu isn't scrollable). The app is essentially a mobile version of the website, which is great except that each item is in its respective subsection (easy to find if you know where it is but longer to get to it). The app looks horrendous as it is styled toward Apple products and has much wasted space.

App input has been improved. Very sluggish and not intuitive. If you use the back button, it repeats the last function, like e-depositing a check. Original: Terrible, developer should be fired.
