Hausa music is Hausa music, one of the largest ethnic groups in Nigeria. His traditional music has played an important role in the development of Nigerian music. The Hausa language (or jausa) is a member of Afro-Asian languages. It is spoken by about 24 million people - called hausas - as a native language and by another 15 million people or more as a second language.

Native speakers are found in Niger and northern Nigeria, but used as lingua franca in a larger area in West Africa, especially among Muslims.
