Needs finger print login all major banking apps have that and for a major banking company like amex not to is poor. For a major redesign and not to include it is either dump or lazy. Apart from that the design is ok and it does what you expect.

Such a terrible redesign, it's a step backwards I think. Can no longer make payments as every time you exit the app too get a code you lose your screen. Also the screen showing earnt cashback is now gone, so you need to use the website for that. Also still no finger print ID. What on earth are you doing?

Finger print / PIN login required - any decent banking app has it already. If you claim to take security seriously... Update the app urgently. It appears no one from AMEX reads these reviews so what is the point in asking users to write them? UPDATED 11/01.18 Another update and STILL NO FINGERPRINT ID?? SERIOUSLY?? no one really cares about a slightly different dashboard - get the fingerprint ID sorted like everyone else has.

I'm not sure why all these type of applications become more cluttered visually than they used to be, which each update. Though this does work for my card, I much preferred the previous layout. Navigation and clarity should be paramount, sadly with most bank apps we seem to go backwards

Hey. When paying the outstanding balance by credit card, the confirmation button of value to pay is in the same place on the screen as the cancel button on the next page. I end up confirming the value and then cancelling the actual payment. Any possibility of moving the cancel button?? Thanks

I have more than one card, and find it very irritating when one card pop's up. I would rather pick a card of my choice to view first. I do realize this doesn't effect those with one card.

Transaction update is really slow. Took almost a day to show latest purchases. No fingerprint or at the very least PIN login instead of full password. It's simply unacceptable in 2018 to be honest. Even CapitalOne app and monzo has implemented this well. Very surprised for Amex.

I thought it's not possible to make the new version worse. No fingerprint authentication in 2018 is nonsense. So poor charges details and no even basic summaries I need to calculate it manually! :( in addition I have two cards but on launch ALWAYS the wrong card is selected, it's so annoying. No new useful features but making the old ones worse :((

Used to be easy to use. The new user interface is better if you one card. However switching between accounts now is awkward for this reason it has two stars.

Wouldn't accept logon details. Using Samsung S8 and had exactly the same problem on S6 Edge. Works fine using website. Useless!

The fact that the app requires your full password without the option to save it, select pin or use biometrics is not only a huge inconvenience but also encourages dangerous security behavior. I'd be way better off if I'd just set a terribly weak, but easy to type password. This is a terrible oversight.

You need fingerprint login, ability to change things like statement preferences etc. You have better customer service than Barclaycard but their app lets you do as much as logging in to the desktop site give or take. Halifax banking is a great app.

How useless! Cannot make a payment. The second I go to different screen to retrieve code from text message and come back it redirects to the main account screen!!!

Great revamp of the app. Would be better if you can add fingerprint login to make it even quicker. But a refreshing update makes it look more modern and easy to navigate.

They need to get biometric access or Iris Scanner access to the app for Android. They seem to have finger print access for IOS but not for Android. Stupidity and unfair for Android users.

Good functionality, view & pay credit balances, view & change direct debits, fast and we'll designed app. However this needs a PIN/fingerprint login system to bring it on par to other financial apps

AMEX seem to have removed the airport lounge finder ('Platinum benefits' section) from the latest update. I found this incredibly useful in the previous version. Now I have to log onto the mobile website and navigate 3 links deep to find it instead.
