Does not work half of the time.

Z70%
by Z####:

Does not work in real time

X70%
by X####:

Sometimes hit-or-miss in timing vs my pager it's linked to. Biggest request: an easy-to-set "Do not disturb" mode (e.g. for home) that's separate from the phone's settings. My decades-old pager has this - WHY NOT THE APP? An unanswered overnight page kills my battery!!!

B70%
by B####:

I echo the reviewer who said that setting open a fingerprint deal that hangs the app. Terribly disappointed - a page at night wakes me with palpitations as I cannot adjust the volume- horrible, don't even think about it

Z70%
by Z####:

Some kind of update came down and now I can't enter the Spok settings on a galaxy Note 4 without having a fingerprint registered on my phone that has nothing to do with the Spok App. This app keeps getting worse with every release.

Z70%
by Z####:

I am missing pages with upgrade. I actually had to turn off pager to disable beeping. Upgrade is worse than original. Pages are delayed for hours, I need to open the app to get pages. My employer talked several times with spok mobile and they are unable to help. They act like they have never heard of this issue. So unreliable!!!!!

Z70%
by Z####:

I just downloaded this and every time I go to settings I get kicked out of the app due to an error

P70%
by P####:

Same issue as already reported. Android device getting locked on fingerprint setup when I select Settings from the main menu.

Z70%
by Z####:

Doesn't work at all on Android 7 and settings are broken on 6. What use is an app that doesn't work on the biggest smartphone platform eludes me.

R70%
by R####:

Completely unreliable system with pages arriving hours, sometimes days after they are sent. Sending to anyone using physical pagers results in a generic reply-to address so recipients are unable to see who sent the page or who to reply to. There is no way to append a consistent signature line as a workaround because the message templates replace the entire contents of the page. Ultimately every "solution" proposed is a workaround that doubles the effort needed to complete any action. I now text instead.

Z70%
by Z####:

Still no fix developers? Messages are not reliable. My hospital/service uses this app for paging. Sometimes pages are delayed as much as 12 hours. Unacceptable and a law suit waiting to happen.

I70%
by I####:

Often get pages 1 hour or more delayed. I 've gone back to using my pager.

Z70%
by Z####:

App crashes several times. Cannot be relied upon in critical situations!

O70%
by O####:

Extremely unreliable. Constantly having to refresh to ensure that I get pages. Otherwise will deliver pages hours late.

Z70%
by Z####:

Horrible setting up for use at facility!!!!!

Z70%
by Z####:

Poor design. Feels like they had a great idea for an entire application suite but then forgot to hire people who know how to write Android or IOS apps. Buggy, Crashy, and not reliable. I asked for my pager back acter trying this app in our enterprise. Read that again. I asked for my pager back. This was previously a phrase I thought I would drink bleach before ever syating. Thank you Spök for readjusting my attitude.

Z70%
by Z####:

MAJOR bug. Jacks volume up to max whenever you get a page and does not being it back down. So after you get a page, your volume is now at max loudness. Bad for being in meetings etc!!!

Z70%
by Z####:

Very unstable and unusable as an Android app. Crashes frequently, especially on every instance a page is received. Fails to receive every page on top of that. Second, fails to integrate to wearable devices. Every setting is enabled to send the notice to the wearable yet either due to the crashing or just failure of app to appropriately integrate. Really wish it worked as well as the Apple app.

U70%
by U####:

Today I started getting delayed pages. I no longer get pages until I open the app!

Z70%
by Z####:

There are delays in pages coming through and it will still squawk loudly if you are on a phone call so it does so right in your ear.

U70%
by U####:

Needs ability to set to vibrate only. You can't use in meetings, libraries, services etc as very loud and obnoxious tone you can't turn off.

X70%
by X####:

Highly unreliable. Rarely message comes through on time, if at all. Should revamp the entire software. Terrible!

O70%
by O####:

Lack of improvement based on very good feedback in reviews shows the level of interest from the developer to provide a adequate service to end users.

Z70%
by Z####:

Huge delay in receiving push notifications

V70%
by V####:

Terrible app. Unreliable, lots of bugs

D70%
by D####:

I've been reading over the reviews and may have some helpful tips. For IOS users check notification settings in IOS. Make sure you have turned all on and selected an alert style. This should help with preventing missed messages caused by the phone. Android users should check out Slider Widget Volumes. This app will control the volume if Spok if you are unhappy with the current settings. It is another app but works great if you use the longest widget. Tested and true!

N70%
by N####:

I have found this app (or the server behind it) completely unreliable. I sporadically have pages delayed for hours--sometimes even days--after which they all come through as a bolus. At times, they only come through when I open and refresh the app. This is obviously problematic when someone needs to reach you. I've used three different phones (on Android Marshmallow), all showing the same problem. I've spoken repeatedly to the telecommunications people and IS at my hospital, to no avail.

D70%
by D####:

Unreliable in receiving pages

E70%
by E####:

First thing is to allow auto signatures to the text. Right now, when we text to a pager, people have no way to know who's it's from unless I add a sig. Needs an option to have it added automatically. Second. Need option to delete message right from the messages list. What's with having to go in an deleting each individual text?

D70%
by D####:

Compared to receiving my hospital pages via text messages and then customizing the alert with Textra this app is less effective and versatile. A huge but simple improvement might be allowing me to use system sounds instead of the sounds bundled in the app. I'd also like the volume to adhere to the volume I set in Android. I'm going back to text messages, I'll check back in 3-6 months.

D70%
by D####:

Delivers pages inconsistently, which is great if you're trying to have a quiet day, but can be problematic if you're on call. Sadly the volume control features still don't work, so the only two options remain: Silent (miss pages), or unprofessionally loud (makes your attending yell at you). Spok Mobile, what would it take to get this fixed? I will gladly revise my rating if you can fix this app!

D70%
by D####:

Often times, I won't get a page until I open the app which doesn't help much in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping since I'm not opening the app. I've made sure I have the latest version, deleted and re-added the app and had sys engineers check on the back end for issues to no avail. Reliability is so important in a healthcare setting. I've missed high priority pages by 3 hours, once I opened the app, they all came in. Thinking I may have to go back to my old pager.

T70%
by T####:

App ignores the phones volume settings. It's either silent or full blast. Extremely disruptive when I get a page at night or am in a room with a patient. There are options for volume in the settings but they are all greyed out.

D70%
by D####:

The program works most of time. For some reason, if I have my wireless on, messages won't come through for hours until I change locations. If I turn the wireless off, it works a bit better, but then my phone looses charge quickly. If they could make the message alert system more reliable, it would be a great app.

S70%
by S####:

Late pages (we're talking 45 minute delays between them paging and the page going through), not notifying me of pages (never beeps or anything, but then I open the app to page someone, and it notifies me of a page from 3 days ago)... this app sucks. Get a real pager, and save yourself the trouble.

D70%
by D####:

I agree, unrealized potential. I like the idea of getting my pages on my phone, but I don't want them all the time. I need to be able to easily change my notification settings from within the app (phone only, pager only, or both). I shouldn't have to go to the web, log into the site, click on the notifications menu, and click the setting to change it. It should be simple, from within the app. Another suggestion, beyond that, would be to allow scheduling for notifications using the app. I want to be ab
