Amazon Transfer Assist

Worked great when I was helping my parents set up their phones (galaxy s4 mini). When I tried installing it on my new galaxy s5, the install failed every time.

get error code 505. Followed all recommended steps and still won't install on Verizon version of Samsung Galaxy S4. Please fix so I can transfer info to Amazon Fire phone. Also not available at iPhone app store- what's with that?

By scanning QR code shownb on old phone, I was able to easily transfer contacts, texts, MMS, pictures and music to my new Fire phone. Well done!

Although the Amazon website says that Amazon Transfer Assist is compatible with the Nexus5, Play store (from the PC) says it is not and it is not listed on Play Storefrom the N5. That makes it worthless for the N5. But alas, it is compatible with my Nexus 7 tablet so I try that and am able to install but the App on the Fire phone insists that the Nexus 7 is not on the same wireless network with the Fire phone when it clearly is. So, as of now the app is worthless. Why in the world Amazon decided to re-invent the wheel I have no idea. I do know that they have a long way to go to make their new wheel round.
