Amazon Alexa

As of recent update (today is 6/29), STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS! STILL can't set up my Amazon Tap because it's just a blank setup screen, like many others are saying. PLEASE FIX THIS. My Tap has been a paperweight since I bought it weeks ago.

Just bought a refurbished device. During Wi-Fi setup it takes me to a blank unresponsive page, and I have no choice but to force close the app. Can't even use the thing. Returning for a Google Home

Can you add the volume control for the echo while connected to a Bluetooth device? It really sucks that when connected to it via Bluetooth device the user has to find the remote or go up to echo to adjust the echo' volume level

The app is very helpful with getting ideas on how to optimize my use of Alxea. I would like to be able to see a list of the skills that I've enabled, so that I don't forget them, and because it's time consuming scrolling back through the entire list of skills.

I love it. Now after the update It was showing offline. I couldn't get it to connect from my phone I was getting blank screen. When I unplugged the power cord from the device and plugged it back in. It reconnected to my Wi-Fi and showed online on my phone. Back to music yes

App is unusable after first use. Set up basic details and now it won't load anything. Can't visit other screens, it hangs when loading, and is unresponsive when trying to troubleshoot.

This was midly impressive when we got it . Echo dot stopped connecting to wifi numerous times. Just tried once again to reset wifi in setup just get a blank screen. Amazon how do I return this for a refund as it is useless.

The Echo dots I purchased will not hook up to WIFI, it stops at a blank set up screen. Amazon had no idea what to do to fix it. I am returning both of the Echo dots that I purchased. This app and the support is horrible.

The drop in is awesome but connects to the wrong Dot when commanding another Alexa device to do so. It connects successfully when dropping in from the phone app. Drop in does not work at all when trying to connect from the phone app when u r away from home. Hope this helps. Thx.

Since the upgrade i cannot hotspot with my phone. It used to work great. I have 6 dots now all useless. I would rate it a 0 if it were possible as would i rate amazon for forcing a communication network without options.

I can't make Alexa calls from app. Says unable to try again later. I got a new phone few days ago too. Oneplus 5. Is this a phone issue or new app version issue?

How have you gone from love to hate so quickly? And where is tech support? They will not even acknowledge my request for support with my 5 dots. At this rate you will go from leader to could have been very quickly.

Lately the Alexa app has been crashing with alarming regularity. Google Assistant really has a corner on the market and nothing else can touch it at this point. I like Amazon Alexa just because of the devices are really cool and the concept is really cool but the implementation needs work.

Loved it until it started trying to force me to enable calls & texts. Every time I open the app or try to reset my echo (we moved), I flat out can't unless I allow calls & texts. I don't want them, stop trying to make me enable that feature. New update, same issue

It's a good assistant app, though I wish Alexa could do things instead of say "look at your app for cloud details" on certain things, like trying to cancel multiple timers

How do you get Alexa to stop doing something from the app? I accidentally started her reading a book downstairs and had to go downstairs to tell her to shut up.

Amazon Treats UK like second class citizens. Today another update and again still no calls & messages.

Using this forum to make a request. Can somebody program the Alexa to say your welcome if I instinctively say thank you after making a request of it? It would the polite thing to do and would complete the experience. Just food for thought.

I never had a problem with previous versions. Just got a new phone and now nothing is working properly. I can't set up new dots I bought. I just get a screen with spinning circle

It's like watching a child grow. Still an infant but getting smarter as time passes. If you have problems with function, give her a time out. Reboot by unplugging and plug it back in.

Final Update: Finally, Landscape Mode has been restored!! Thank you, Amazon, for providing this update for all of us tablet owners, and for the disabled who rely on Landscape Mode for their special devices. As I said before, this has always been a 5 Star application. Brilliantly thought out. Superbly executed. Great UI. Now that it supports tablets, it is perfect. Thanks again, Amazon! BVI User. // Update: After calling and emailing Amazon, Landscape Mode has still not been restored for their handicapped/disabled users. Numerous reviews have been posted by other handicapped/disabled people asking why, and no response from Amazon. Poor customer response and service. So, down to One Star you go. What a shame, for an otherwise responsible and squared-away company. Pay attention to your handicapped/disabled users! // This would have been a 5 Star review... Until yesterday. Minus One Star for taking away Landscape Mode. Hey, some of out here have large screen tablets and are not gonna twist them around just to see your app's screen. Those of us with Visual Impairments need the widescreen display. Please make the orientation an option, Landscape or Portrait. Minus One Star for removing the identifying colors and symbols for our music apps. Again, those of us with Visual Impairments used to be able to find our iHeartRadio app by looking for the "red square." The TuneIn Radio app was easily located by looking for the "aqua square." Granted, I'm sure that the black & white menus look very modern and sophisticated, but they're not friendly for the Visually Impaired. Please add an option to put the color back. Otherwise, great app! I can control my Tap from either my tablet or new iPhone seamlessly. Just please be considerate of us Visually Impaired people. Thanks. 5 Stars once you provide these options. Liked at first but now can't just use echo without setting up texts and messaging that I don't want to use. Just want to change and add other options and can't even do that went from fun to junk

I liked it. Alexa is awesome. Only one problem. You need spotify premium to play spotify on Alexa. I'd give 5 stars if we could use the free version of spotify too. Otherwise, it's awesome.

It used to work but now that I moved I too get the blank setup screen and the Echo Dot just keeps flashing the orange light. Amazon, why can't you fix this?!?!

Last two update brought crashes to this app instead of improvements. Not even been able to use it any more. Got get it fix

Why do my lists never work when I am at the market? It is almost the only thing I use on the app and it never works. There should always be a saved copy that doesn't require WiFi or cell coverage to access.

App always closes in 3 seconds on my 1 year old android (yes it's been updated.) I expect much better results than that from Amazon. It's like a teen making their first ever app.

It's a great app. They've fixed the slow loading issue but it could still be more responsive. New drop-in feature is awesome.

Error with the Setup function via the mobile route... tried multiple times to get it to progress, nothing happened.. Just came up every time with a blank screen. Had to setup with my laptop instead. Seattle... you have a problem...

It's been trash lately can't even set it up. Used to be great and worked seamlessly, need it fixed as soon as possible.

Worked great with my Galaxy S5. Upgraded to a Pixel XL today and...oogatz. Screens randomly don't appear and I really can't do much of anything. Followed all of Amazon's instructions to uninstall/reinstall, clear data, power cycle phone, to noavail. Can't say if the 6/26 release or my new phone or both is the culprit.

Unresponsive blank white page during set up if setting up on mobile with smart network switch. Turn off smart network switch and you can complete the set up.

Y'know I really liked using Alexa with my API, but considering that the last five updates still haven't fixed the crashes I might just replace my Echo with a Google Home instead.

UPDATE: Drop in feature wasnt authroized to be on. Went into settings and was on. Be aware to double check. ....Love that they keep adding things to it. spotify is a.big deal as.i don't have.time to continue to upload my music to amazon

How the heck are so many users having issues with the app crashing on nougat and no fixes yet?

Used to be great. Now I can't set up my echo because the app no longer works.

Echo Dot either displaying continuous blue light or resets showing red light. Amazon Alexa app displays blank screen on Galaxy S4. Device or service e or app or all three have become unreliable.

It keeps turning off. I have to unplug and plug in again to make it work

Buggy and annoyingly slow - there is also currently a memory leak as it eats away my battery life at an increasing rate even when sleeping

was always slow. after last update, on xiaomi phone, i cannot open any menu (balls waiting) and nothing happens. Please review
