Ottawa Recycle: Garbage Collection Calendar

My go to app for garbage day :-)

I live in Metcalfe and it's saying my pickup day is Friday but it's actually Tuesday. Won't fix itself.

It is handy to check, it is easy to lose track of which week it is. Also accurately reminds you about shifts in schedule due to holidays and has a nice layout.

App stops randomly, even when not running(most likely when the notification event happens) and notifications simply don't work

Its a handy calendar to know which recycle bin is supposed to go out. The notification that it is garbage day tomoro kind of works but basically the reminder is that the app crashed on your phone trying to send the notification, which you have to interpret as the reminder. The app is garbage, and it works

Notifications aren't working, and every once in a while I'll get an error message saying the app has stopped working even when it's not in use. Apart from the notifications the app is fine and simple to use.

Why do you need access to my locations, if you ask me to enter my address on startup? Different make any sense to me. Uninstalling until I can trust you more.

The only reason to have an app like this is to receive reminders in advance of garbage day. They've stopped working, so there's no longer any use for this app.

Helpful but notifications don't always work

Always hate dragging the wrong boxes out so very helpful. Would great to adjust reminder time but otherwise good app.

With busy schedules, I feel comforted that I have this app on hand to remind what goes out each week. My calendar is already full of kids activities so nice to quickly be able to determine what needs to go out each week!

Reminder doesn't work, but if you remember to open it, it gives the info needed.

Could use lists of what's allowed in each. Also, the reminder doesn't work.

Trash collection calendar is nice to have. Hazardous waste schedule would be a very useful thing to add! Thanks!!

Add a description of the contents of the black box/blue box and it will be perfect!

One thing that would maybe be nice to see would be linkages to what goes into garbage vs. recycling, just to get those stickler items pinned down. App is great and simple on its own.

Could be even better if it can be linked to the City of Ottawa's waste explorer

Just moved to Ottawa from Sudbury (where everything is weekly on the same day) and was often confused until I found this app, it's much more convenient than finding this on the city of Ottawa website anyway.

Great reminder especially since garbage is no longer every weeks.

Have to enter it every time I open the app. Also has trouble if you try to change your choice from GPS locating to manual entry of your address. But I still use it ever week.
