AltspaceVR—The Social VR App

This is a great app bujt it makes my phone crash at random times for no reason. Like complete shut down and I have to wait for everything to load again. I also couldn't edit my avatar on the phone version and had to download it on my laptop just to edit my avatar. It's really cool and fun but there are a lot of bugs that still need to be worked out

Its a fun way to hang out with strangers from the comfort and safety of your home. This group had me laughing so hard when i first tried the app out. I would give 5 stars, but it was a little difficult figuring out the controls with no instructions or anything, and i wish there was a way to enter vr cardboard mode (2 screens) but i couldn't find any setting for that. Other than that very fun and exciting app right here, makes it easy and fun to be social, even for an introvert like me! Great concept and execution

Has potential but needs work. The menu doesn't work on daydream (even though it was released for the platform) which is quite limiting. Plus you can't pick anything up when using the daydream controller (can only seem to control movement) - need to rethink the controls a little bit.

It should not of been made for the daydream, activities like Cards Against Humanity and other games don't work. The menu is completely broken all yiu can do is talk and walk around, some people like that but it's boring after a while.

It's a pretty fun social network VR App, until I update my phone into Android 8.0.0 it started to show blank tile which make it hard to enter any event from VR mode. I already report this issue months ago and it seems no real action solving this problem, really frustrated ☹️

Massive errors and nearly unusable on Daydream. Shouldn't have been released on the platform until the menus work. Can't even select an avatar. Hopefully they will correct it before too many people download and realize it isn't yet setup for Daydream users

When in 2D mode (using only mobile, no headset, no controller) we cant customize our avatar. When we tap on setting,the screen is fixed and we cant move up down left right. We can see our avatar on the left just a little where it says this is how you look like, click here to customize. But we cant tap on it since our screen is fixed in one place. Closing that setting is also hard. We have to go out of the room then enter again. **TLDR** this app is not google cardboard friendly. You know those cheap vr headsets which dont have head trackink and dont have controllers...yeah those. Please add VR mode for google cardboard as well. At least we can view the surroundings in VR mode.

IT WAS FUN!! I don't have the daydream view, but it was still immersive!! IT IS SO FUN TALKING TO STRANGERS THIS WAY!!! I used the daydream controller emulator on another phone to use as controller, and only used the bobovr Z4 headset to play this.

*It Doesn't even work* I'm TRYING To activate an activity but it keeps sending me back to the homescreen. I don't know why it's doing this, but PLEASE FIX IT

Hi, I have a problem. I downloaded this app, and I was so excited because the app looked was a cool app. But, when I opened the app, it closed. I uninstalled it, and I downloaded it again. When I entered in to a server from the app, it closed again! I need help please. I want to hang out with people, from your app. Thank you so much.

I would love to pay it but it doesn't work in Daydream and Pixel- I can't even sign up, I just get black screens at the menu. Staff said they're aware of the issue but they've been aware for months... And I've been waiting as long. I'll update this when I can actually play it.

Hours of fun! You can play so many games with strangers from all around the world and it feels like they're right in front of you. One if my favorite free Daydream Games ever!

This VR app bar-none is the best I've ever played insanely smooth with a multitude of events and games you can enter and attend. The creators really put passion into this project and it shows????. My favorite feature so far is the fact you can go online while in game and all websites are fully functioning within the GUI , then it furthermore gives possibly to project it onto a screen for others to view.

Its boring it lets me in app and stuff but when i want to join a game it says the app has stopped plz fix i want to play it was like my fav vr game in vids and i want to try it but it dont work

I can navigate around and play the disc golf game with a Bluetooth controller. All its missing is 3d view for my cardboard compatible headset. Oh yeah, the menu icons are half in the ground and what looks like the avatar selection on the side of home? screen is hidden off the left side of the screen and inaccessible.

Cool app but doesn't work correctly using Daydream with a Pixel 2 XL. All of the menus are blank white squares and you can't customise your avatar. Hoping it's fixed soon!

There is no enter in virtual reality mode it by default enters in without headset mode. This sort of inconsistency from your own featured image is absolutely unexpected. A big disappointment!

This app would be good except for the constant bullying and abuse by moderator STAN who harassed girls trying to get their phone numbers. This guy is a predator. I hope you can fix this problem. Thanks.

The developers are slacking. Oreos been out for months, and they still haven't updated for it.

It's so much fun but I would like it to be more user friendly to people who don't have a vr. Like, I want to be able to change my avatar properly.

None of the menus work, as they are all empty. I can only open and close them.

Great fun but having problems with daydream.. got new daydream and pixel 2 but can't change avatar or move..

I love Altspace, but now it doesn't work on Android Oreo, so anyone on a Pixel is Not able to using any menus or see apps in game. Please fix :(

It was fun as a first experience. I have yet to fully explore the app. Daydream users have a controller so simple gestures like waving the hand should be supported for the ones without a vive or oculus. Also navigating should be possible by pressing and holding the touchpad direction.

Terrible app, the customer service is no help. And to make it worse, the app crashes every time I use it.

This game sucks whenever I try and join a random server it always says that the game has crashed and I can't not do anything on it this game sucks you guys need to fix it it's so stupid

Daydream is almost unusable. Menus don't work, and you can't interact with anything. This should of been released for daydream later when the issues had been fixed.

When I open menu or try to change avatar just get a white page, help desk in main lobby does nothing

I love this app, the only thing is, without headset or anything I can't change my avatar, can we import it into the app please?

It's a good idea and all but some people have different headsets which means we need different types of views for the different types of vrs maybe I missed it so if I did pls tell

Trying to use on daydream VR with pixel. All the menus show up blank. Can't really do anything, including customize the avatar.

Similar issues to day dream users. Massive errors in vr mode. Can't see media. Can't add friends. Can't join friends. I hope Microsoft does something about this soon

If you meet the right people it can be a really enriching experience. I just had a conversation with a neuroscientist .. it was interesting.

I recommend it. Has 2D and 3D mode to explore the places, you can talk to people on microphone and start your own party place to hangout with your Internet buddies.

I am not allowed to join a room it is saying try again or report problem I want to use this app.

It's okay I like the ability to enter rooms to watch events. It would be a nice feature to be able to participate with hand use to paint or pick up items even when your away from your VR headset.

When I join a sever the app crashes. I hope they fix that in the future because I think this game has a lot of potential.

There's an issue with the headphones I plugged them in and it still said plug i n earphone to talk to people I mean make it compatible withthe essential ph-1 headphone
