Sekilas mengenai Al Quran

Al-Qur'an القرآن‎ al-Qurʾān, secara harfiah berarti "bacaan"; juga diromanisasikan sebagai Qur'anatau Koran) adalah sebuah kitab suci utama dalam agama Islam, yang umat Muslim percaya bahwa kitab ini diturunkan oleh Tuhan, (Arab: الله‎, yakni Allah) kepada Nabi Muhammad [ Kitab ini dikenal dan dihormati sebagai sebuah karya seni sastra bahasa Arab terbaik di dunia. Kitab ini terbagi ke dalam beberapa bab (dalam bahasa Arab disebut "surah") dan setiap surahnya terbagi ke dalam beberapa sajak (ayat).

Umat Muslim percaya bahwa Al-Qur'an difirmankan langsung oleh Allah kepada Nabi Muhammad melalui Malaikat Jibril, berangsur-angsur selama 22 tahun, 2 bulan dan 22 hari atau rata-rata selama 23 tahun, dimulai sejak tanggal 17 Ramadan, saat Nabi Muhammad berumur 40 tahun hingga kematiannya di tahun 632. Umat Muslim menghormati Al-Qur'an sebagai sebuah mukjizat terbesar Nabi Muhammad, sebagai salah satu tanda dari kenabian, dan merupakan puncak dari seluruh pesan suci (wahyu) yang diturunkan oleh Allah sejak Nabi Adam dan diakhiri dengan Nabi Muhammad. Kata "Quran" disebutkan sebanyak 70 kali di dalam Al-Qur'an itu sendiri.

Overview of the Quran

Qur'an Qur'an القرآن, literally means "recitation"; also romanized as Qur'anatau Koran) is a major holy book of Islam, which Muslims believe the book was revealed by God (Arabic: الله, namely, God) to the Prophet Muhammad [The book is well known and respected as a work of art Arabic literature in the world.
