כמעט בכל בית בישראל יש מזוזה.
מצווה זו שייכת לכל אחד ואחת מישראל, גברים, נשים, דתיים וחילונים.
לפעמים בגלל פגעי מזג האוויר, חוק עייפות החומר או סתם טעות בקניה יש בפתח מזוזה שאינה כשרה, וזאת למרות שאנו רוצים מזוזה כשרה.
