This is a good little app that unfortunately feels unfinished. It would be great if this could be updated to bring it in line with KitKat, Jelly Bean, Lollipop and now...Marshmallow!. No love since Oct 2012!!

Helped my phone through some third party software issues.

This app used to be fantastic. Now it won't even launch on this g3. No love from the developer in over two years. I suspect it's been orphaned, and that's a shame. It used to be so useful.

Exactly what I needed. Thank you for making this app. It has helped me so much in making decisions with purchasing apps. I noticed this app needs no permissions. :)

Can you please add detail for "Read Google Service Configuration" that is a complete unknown for me and it seems very intrusive.

GGN, Android 4.0.4 ICS It does not require any permissions itself, which is great. It should have been included as a core component of Android. Re. its weaknesses: it lacks a number of permissions and explanations. Some guide info is slightly wrong. I really hope the author will maintain it. Improvement suggestions: 0. Fill in the missing permissions and explanations; 1. A search or a group by function for apps by same author; 2. search the installed app names, too; 3 cascaded filters or regex for search

The best feature is to get a list of every app requesting a certain permision. That is a fast way to find apps requesting something they shouldnt need..

A wonderful app. I just wish I knew about this book before I had bought the apps I did for I would have known not to.

I definitely recommend it to anyone new to Android.

This developer has put a lot of time helping the Android community deal with safety issues, and has made much of the material explaining permissions available elsewhere. What this app adds is the ability to check on your phone for all apps that use any permission you specify, a very valuable tool! Well worth the 99 cents!

This is a great resource both for understanding the permission system on android in general, and the activity of different installed apps in particular. It's one of the first things I loaded to my phone after reading the developer's advice on the android forums, and now I use it all the time when installing new apps. The ability to see all apps granted a particular permission at the same time is priceless- you might be surprised with what came pre-baked on your device!

There's a section that lets you view *by type of permission* what apps have access to your system: "Permissons (What they mean; which apps use them)"

Great app and i recomend to new Android users to help them understand

You rooted, but phone's still a slow batt hog? Find out who's running at boot. And just b/c you know permissions doesn't mean you shouldn't chk again!
