ALON MP3 Dictaphone consists of three base parts:
• Audio voice recorder - is an MP3 audio recorder which allows to make high quality recordings, up to 48000 Hz 128 kbps. Moreover with this audio recorder you can record in AMR and WAV audio formats too.
You may easily turn your smart phone into advanced audio voice recorder and start to record lectures, conversations, interviews and then share your recordings. You'll save a lot of memory space by keeping your voice records in MP3 - the most popular audio format.
It also allows to append a recording to the existing audio files.
You can use the Bluetooth headset to make bluetooth voice recordings(If your Bluetooth headset support bluetooth recording for your device).
An audio level activation allows to filter a silence and spare a memory.

The app refused to record, saying I must use external storage. Since my Galaxy Nexus lacks any external storage, this makes this app unusable. Uninstalling for a refund.

Very very disappointed with version. I was accustomed to alon on nokia's os but sincerely expected that android-port/design would have been 'as good'.

As a previous commenter mentioned, the App will only record onto external media. Since the Galaxy Nexus has no SD card slot, this is impossible. The App needs to be marked as such.
