Anyplace TV Home Tablet (ON) for Android
Could be good but needs android Tv/remote control support for devices with no touch. For those with a fire TV stick pay 4 bucks for the mouse situation app. It hacks this app to somewhat useful.
You should be able to watch TV anywhere, as long as you have high speed. Whats the point of only using it in the house, might aswell watch tv. And it always freezes, fix this!
The service seems to be down a lot. When I open the app I'm not able to auto log in because it says my username or password is not right. If I try the next day it'll work fine once the service is back up. If I'm able to log in then sometimes the video just won't play. When the service is working then it's great. I just wish I knew what was going on when it's down. It's very frustrating when the service is down. Also, I tried to watch the news while on vacation in Florida. Nope. The service said it won't play videos unless I was using my own internet connection at home. Now that's extremely frustrating.
Using Alcatel Idol 3 5.5", smartphone app won't work, thought it was the OS, I uninstalled the other app and installed this tablet app, AND IT WORKS! You need to adjust the limitations or limits set and allow phone screens +5" to use this app. App will NOT work on my tablet????
Decided to give this a try again on my Motorola XOOM running KitKat. I had given this app a single star for a previous version and one Honeycomb. Unfortunately the poor rating still stands. I am able to finally log in but whenever I attempt to play live TV I get a 1202 error telling me to log out and log back in. After doing that I am still getting the same error.
For some reason, I decided to try the tablet version on my LG G5 (with 6.0.1) smartphone and I am pleased to indicate it works. I have only used it in front of my PVR but it works quickly and accurately. It even places the red dot in the recorded item in the app TV listing. It take a while to learn but it is worth it, if you forgot to record a future pgm while away from home. If Rogers can make it a little more intuitive (and rename it to mobile devices), I will give 5 stars ... a first by me for Rogers.
Crashes constantly. Video and audio are out of sync. Video quality is poor with constant pixelation. I shouldn't have to "close" the on screen instructions every time I open the app.
Horrible. There should be an option to give no stars. Can't watch anything on the tablet.
As usual Rogers rises to new levels of incompetence. I've tried this on many android devices and an iPad. It sort of works sometimes on the iPad. Otherwise 100% garbage. Hasn't worked properly for TWO years. I keep trying it in the foolish hope they will actually update it and make it workable. Search Rogers Apps and look at the ratings. Do they have anything with even an average rating?
Same like the other version. Now from several day or a week or more is working again. There are shorts moments that it opens and got stuck very fast.
Save your devices memory and just crank up the volume on your TV, you'll have better results. Constant crashing or errors.
This app crashes continuously under Marshmallow 6.01. Also, channel selection for tablet is very limited. All in all, over the last couple of years, it has been rare that it's worked well, if at all. Rogers which advertises this app as a sales feature, should be ashamed.

This app doesn't do anything. You can't watch TV anywhere, and it certainly doesn't schedule your PVR properly. What a waste of time.
This software is very unreliable, one day it works, then it won't work for a week or a month, and so, when it works its very useful. Sadly rogers doesn't care too much about this app, especially the android version. So go ahead, download it, just be warned its a very flaky and inconsistent app. Original review below: Absolute Junk, This app doesn't work on any device, it's a total tease. Sad part is Rogers advertises this app as a companion to your rogers service, to enhance it. But it does none of these things, it actually in fact makes it harder to enjoy my service because i can't program my pvr while i'm away from home. nor can i manage my PVR recording without having to be in front of the TV. Bell Kicks Rogers' ass in this facet of service, they have a fully working app and service that compliment each other, if bell's service wasn't so susceptible to signal loss, i'd consider switching. C'mon Rogers, lets go!! get this fixed or pull the app from the store all together and stop teasing us with this useless app.

Have the tablet app on my galaxy tab running 5.1 and phone app on my galaxy S6 running marshmallow. Neither work, they never make it past the log in screen, just get a message that the service is not available. Worse yet is you can't just use the website online. If you go to the rogers website and click on any of the Anyplace TV, or On Demand sections to watch online it just forces you to a page to download the app with no choice to stay on the full website. Completely useless.
This app is unreliable. Can NBA TV be added to the current line up of channels?

Works fast on my asus tablet and fair on my galaxy s3 phone. Crashes occasionally with advanced tasks like deleting a pvr recording but for normal viewing its reliable. Much improved startup and log on time from earlier versions. Nice being able to set pvr to record a show from wherever you may be! HAPPY WITH IT.
No sync between their app and website login process, contrary to their app info and useless support people. Wish i could give it zero stars, just like they deserve. How they can constantly put out crap like this without beinfg forced to fix the litany of issues is beyond me.
What a joke of an app and development team. If you can get this POS app to actually load or work then you may find out that if you've rooted your device, it simply will not stream. Then when asking for an explanation as to why, your told that rooting your Android device is illegal. I'm really glad I'm not the one paying Rogers & I will actively do everything in my power to get people to stop paying for your services. Educate your help staff and hire a new dev team.
No longer having constant login issues. Actually a very useful app when it works, no need for the remote, I can just use the tablet, and the search and guide functions are far better and faster than using the box.
Constantly have login issues. The listing from my PVR fail intermittently. This app should not be published in the first place if Rogers cannot fix these fundamental issues. Rogers is giving false advertisement.

The tablet App works on my Xperia Z Ultra and I can now watch the different channels I subscribe to on my phone and on my Nexus 4 using the Anyplace TV Home Mobile (ON) App. The video and audio is still not synchronized when on Wi-Fi. Dropped to lowest res to see if this would help.. Didn't. Still needs work. At least I can watch TV on Wi-Fi in my house. Does anyone know about this feature too?
App tells me I have no verified account one minute, next it works, then it doesn't again...really frustrating AND time consuming! Update: had increased the rating because I was actually able to log in for a few days in a row. Same garbage programming is back...Negative 5 Stars.
Continuous login issues. How can Rogers provide such garbage continually and do absolutely nothing to fix the errors. Spend some of your billions on a proper Dev team
Garbage garbage garbage. This app is terrible it never works tells me i have no subscription to channel and the channel works fine on the tv. I have the fastest internet speed and the fastest modem/router that Rogers offer and it takes forevvvvver to download the channels from my pvr. Get your act together Rogers and fix your apps like the multi billion dollar company you are.
Where shall I begin? It's out of sync, it's has constant log in issues, the "HD" video looks like a bootleg MPEG from 2004, the aspect ratio is wrong, there is a message under the video that is cut off and distracting, it's just awful! How is that acceptable tech goons at Rogers? 2 stars because the video loads and the guide is pretty good too.

Poor app. Low quality video, audio constantly out of sync. To be clear about the sync it is around 2 or 3 seconds out of sync. Video is jittery. Not all channels are available to stream. It's only watchable when I'm not paying attention to it... Rogers please invest more in this app, this app has much potential, could be really good with more attention to detail. Give me a call if you want some help overseeing this dev project.
