does not work. had the latest version, but i was still unable to watch a movie. when clicking on the 'preview' to verify videos will play, would only give me error messages and bogus info saying it "may" be an old version. blah blah blah. it was not. i double checked all the other reasons, but there was nothing tye matter other than the app kept crashing. I tried on several different flights. lame. don't waste your time, read a book or listen to music, much better off.

this app is the lowest rated app for anything of this category. You would think that with an airline that has so many people traveling on it they would have a descent service, it's not like wifi is something new.. Mcdonalds even has way better wifi then southwest. this company claims to have fixed it with a new update but i dont see where any positive reviews have over shadowed the older ones or even really said yes its fixed, there is one i just saw and i wouldn't be shocked if that is from the producer of the app,

Y'all must have done something wrong. It worked perfectly for me. I payed no money at all. Downloaded it 2 days before my flight. Worked without skipping the entire 5 hour flight. Hey Zion!

I use Southwest airlines every month. This app worked for me once. And it worked well, then for some reason it just doesn't show video anymore. At this point it's useless when I fly and try to buy a movie to watch on all my trips. Hope it gets figured out asap because it was nice when it was working.

UPDATE: Last leg of flight home I decided to download Safari for android and FINALLY it worked. Still a POS program more focused on making sure ads work over the app. Running Samsung Tablet Pro on Android 5.0.2. Purchased inflight wifi on Southwest and updated both Chrome and Firefox while flying. Installed and rebooted, and Firefox locks up and then crashes, and Chrome fails to even provide the play button (greyed out). Southwest needs to fix this or I'll have to look at shifting carriers. Never had this issue a month ago, just since they switched services to this poor company (2.3 Stars Seriously)?

I purchased a movie and there is no picture only audio. There are no troubleshooting instructions to resolve the issue. Does not work!

I downloaded this app (version 604) to watch movies on southwest airlines to no avail. It was the wrong version-they wanted version 565, which isn't available!

No video only audio....I have reinstalled 5 times....Only first time I had video and then it went blank....I have reinstalled multiple times...No use ....I don't know if there is any way we can solve this...

Download the app before you get on the flight and pay money to connect. It let's you test first before you buy movies. Other people don't read instructions and then complain.

Too bad they don't make a way to test it before getting on the flight. My Samsung Tab isn't compatible. Luckily it's borrowed, but lots of reviews where people spend money on movies only to find it doesn't work. I almost purchased this tab just to watch movies. I got lucky. Someone should find a real solution. This is worse than nothing at all.

Worst $8 ever spent. Make that $16 because I tried it first on my smartphone, than on my surface. Shame. 4+ hr flight. Thanks SW. I hope your get your WiFi act together. And since the bandwidth is so limited, I cannot use it to access other internet based library's I own either.

This App is a Rip off! Spent the $8.00 for Wifi and then bought the movie to only be denided the ability to watch it. Don't download it. I'll be disputing the charges for both. Southwest should be ashamed for allowing this to happen to their customers. This is beyond professional for both.

Works great! Download BEFORE getting on your next Southwest flight. This is a free app. The negative reviews being posted are by those who didn't read about the app prior to flying and downloaded after take off. The $8 is the In-Air WiFi connection fee to be able to browse the internet in addition to download the app.

Downloaded it on two devices, Apple and Android. I have the latest version and it wouldn't load. You would think that someone would 1) Read the reviews to see that their App wasn't functioning properly and 2) Fix it. I find it a sad state of affairs that a corporation would allow something this poorly put,together to remain unfixed. Simply sad.

My Samsung Galaxy S6 is not supported. But, like others have said, you can't find out whether your device is supported or not until you test it on a flight. Poor design.
