Text Message Reader for Android
This app comes in handy for a lots of reasons it's just when you are around people you must turn it off if not your message will have been read out to everyone but other than that this is a good app I could be taking a shower have my phone in the bathroom and whatever text message come through I turn the device on and it reads out to let me know if I missed an important text.
It actually works I like that but I don't quite like the voice I can use some new voices! And would love it if it gave you the option to repeat the message
avoids device touch&mic/earpiece for quieter lifestyle without required talkback for quick receiving bettered by scheduling volume for work hours/earphone use/set talkback options, etc. making for better:quick recieving, annoying voiced contact,(if interested:)sêxting due to reader voice options|needs:more voices, accents, etc;voiced Qś for "answer,"etc
Sets volume to full, was using this with headphones so could get text message but volume re sets to maximum and is deafening
Does what I need but could you add an icon on the notification bar? I use it for driving and keep leaving it on and forgetting to turn it off! Thanks!
Exactly what i was looking for. Simple on/off without having to configure settings. Reads texts thats it. Perfect for driving. Cmon try it
We should have option for reading the message after it arrives. If we say yes then only it should read.
The volume issues has caused me to uninstall this app and shop for a new one.
Fanatic but allow voice replies
On my husband's Note 3 it says colon before the name but on my Note 4 it doesnt. I like this app.
It only says on/off and settings someone please tell me
Needed an app to read texts when running or in car, does it aplomb. Nice and simple to use
Voice messages
Dont work
DOSENT READ ANYTHING
First, it needs to have a volume control. Second, it needs to have the ability to auto turn the app off if bluetooth is not connected. Finally it needs to have the option to auto turn the app off if you are in a phone call. Having it talk over top of your phone call is very annoying.

I am a surgeon. I spent my days in the O.R. wearing a headset. I have been searching for an app to simply speak the text messages I receive into my headset. I have installed and unistalled many apps for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Several seemed not compatible with Android 6.x and several just didn't work. Text Message Reader simply and worked. Has adjustments for pitch and rate and the can auto reply. Although not a selectable option it seems to run after a reboot so you don't have to restart it. The only problem is that if you're actually on a telephone call and receive a text message, it reads the text message to you while you're still on the phone call! That definitely needs to be fixed! It needs to hold off on reading the message until the phone call finishes. I recommend two enhancements. The first would be the option to have the app start or not start at phone boot-up and the second would be placing an icon in the notification area to turn it on and off. In short, for me, it does what it says except for the flaw of talking over a phone call. I look forward to the 2 enhancements plus having the reading of the text message wait until the phone call ends!
This app does what it says. Ideal for driving, and if you miss the 1st readout you have the option of 2-3 repeat setting. Great...!!!
Not sure why it only reads the 1st few words & then last few words of texts. Advice? Would also be nice if it could read past texts.
The app works great minus one thing... an option to have it read texts only when connected to Bluetooth! I don't want to have to launch the app to toggle it on and off every time I get into the car. Catches you off guard when you forget to turn it off and it starts reading your messages out loud at unexpected times.
No matter what volume I have my phone at it automatically reads at the loudest setting. It I have headphones in it is painful & makes my ears ring.
I would give it 5 stars if it allowed you to manipulate the default volume for the app exclusively
This is the best app I have tried. Works fantastic on my S6 edge. Have hands free stereo in car so when connected can hear it through the car speakers really clear. Can't recommend highly enough
This is a great idea. It would be great to have voice volume control.
Why on earth does it say the word colon before each name? It is pretty good other than that the auto reply message needs a switch on off option rather than having to type a new one in every time I want to use it.
did not work for me samsung galaxy s5

This application is truly a lifesaver for me on my LG-G Stylo mobile phone. I Drive for 12 hours a night and found this handy application to be a wonderful tool for me to have on hand. Out of all the apps in the Play Store... This is a must have and my favorite application of all. Developers totally have outdone themselves on this. I can't thank them enough. Would be elated if this had a way to control the volume of the voice and to be able to choose between a male and female voice.☺
But needs an option for it to be muted when the phone is muted...embarrassing for it to go off in church when you thought you had turned your sounds off.
Its good, just a little late to read. But its good
Just what I needed, turn it on when the bluetooth is connected and I am good to go. Simple but efficient!
Please make the read-out mute when phone is on mute and vibrate, then 5 stars. To have bluetooth and headphone option would be incredible. Thanks so much!
Reeds texts late
Its great, it does just what i need it to
Can we get a volume control?
It's a very advice software
Note 5, works perfectly
