L'auteur de cet ouvrage est: Chamseddine Mouhammad Ben Othman Ben Oaimaz At-Turkmani, Al-Fariki, Ad-Dimachki, Ach-Chaf'éi, connu Adh-Dhahabi. Né a Damas en 1274 (673 hégire). Il est issu d'une famille qui vivait à "Miafarkine. Il fut brillant dans ses études chez les cheikhs de la Syrie, d'Egypte et de Hidjaz. Pour cela il a visité les grands cites de l'époque, ce qu'il lui fais l'un des grands savants de son temps spécialement aux récites2 du Coran et hadith.
Il était l'exemple de compréhension et retenir à tel degré qu'on lui appelle l'Iman de l'univers en retenir et le Cheikh de justification des hommes (c-à-d les rapporteurs des hadiths), et le maître des hommes dans tous les domaines scientifiques (religieux).
Enfin il aura été très célèbre et les étudiants viennent le voir de tous les pays.
ADH-DHAHABI a mentionné dans son glossaire bibliographique 1300 Cheikhs de ceux qu'ils ont appris et ceux qu'il les a appris.
Il occupa plusieurs postes: instituteur à Damas, mais quand il devint aveugle
-en 741 hégire- il cessa d'écrire, en laissant plusieurs ouvrages traitant du hadith, de l'histoire et de biographies. He comes from a family who lived in "Miafarkine. He was brilliant in her studies with the sheikhs of Syria, Egypt and Hijaz. For this he visited the major cites of the time, it make him one of the great scholars of his time especially to the Qur'an and hadith of récites2.
He was the example of understanding and retention to such a degree called him the Imam of the universe retain and Sheikh justification of men (ie of the reporters of hadith), and the master of men in all scientific fields (religious).
