CoPilot South Africa GPS

The search online feature is worthless because it's a Yelp search. Yelp has almost zero presence in South Africa. Unless you know the address of the place you can't use the native online search. It would be far better if it were reverted to Google search.

Good App. Non existent support.

I have always used this app. However today it kept losing its way. You need to sort it out please

Since the last update, I can't download my maps. It's stuck on 8.2kb even on the fastest connection.

Awesome nav app I have used it for years

Fantastic! Easy to use and pretty accurate. Easy to save favorites and even use contacts in your phone book. I installed this on my cars DVD android head unit and it works like a charm. I also have it on my phone which also runs on 4.2.2 and it works great. I still need to check if I can add favorites on my phone and sync them to the unit in my car. Well done to the guys at Copilot.

GPS feature works fine however I can't renew the traffic feature as it keeps asking for google authentication...don't understand why

I was doing the Garden Route of South Africa and give this app 99%. Got us everywhere we needed to go including some real out of town places. If I took I wrong turn it updated fast and clearly. I almost don't want to mention any negatives it was that good but here they are: some of the speed limit data is incorrect, the sat nav said the limit was 100km/h but it was 120km/h & once, the hotel was 1km further down the road. Almost perfect. Thanks Co-Pilot.

App is very good but I bought this app for Morocco it doesn't have Morocco in the maps not any city not even as a whole country.

Copilot is the best value solid satnav for Android in my opinion. I had one odd navigation issue where the map wouldn't find a route but copilot support was very quick to respond and help. Also,the cloud backup makes it super easy to move all your poi favourits to a new phone...they just restore faultlessly. Would not touch another satnav app again.

Goede aanwijzingen zowel in Europa als in Zuid Africa. Maps nu op SD card geplaatst dankzij android 5.0 . Active traffic werkt ook uitstekend. 5 Stars!

In commute me copilot learned a backroad that didn't appear in the map and added it! Very clever! Exellent.

This is a great offline map application which has text to speech and lane guidance . It would be nice if the developers could add a way to import bookmarked places from google maps.

Co pilot is GREAT. On board. Non data user. Outshines Garmin and other data users. At the price. a third of the price for a separate GPS. roads only

Good product ...a little off with the exact location maybe the developers need to tweak the app but nice layout and good feature set

One of the best GPS navigation systems for Android available in South Africa. Top tip - select a language/voice that supports *TTS (text to speech) if you want it to read out the street names.

This new update has a better map layout for South Africa.

I have used it severally now in SA.The routing and voice directions are great.However an update of the maps is required to reflect new POIs and also a good search algorithm to locate places effectively.

Very good generally. Maps not up to date which is common to all nav apps with the possible exception of google maps.

Its an awesome program. I feel its better than garmin or tomtom GPS

One of the best smartphone gps apps

I had to switch keyboards to use this program. How can it be that cheap / free programs are able to work with any keyboard I have on my phone but a $50 program (maps for another country) can't do it? It was an exercise in pure frustration with the program duplicating inputs and then erasing what I have already typed and then second guessing my inputs so eventually I had to switch to the standard keyboard to get an address entered. Please fix this immediately.

It workers great South Africa map

Works brilliantly. Great offline GPS. Sometimes takes a while to find satellites, but when it works, it works well.

Just used the copilot live south Africa in Jo burg, Pretoria, Kruger, cape town and the fransheuk and stallenbisch area. Worked perfectly well even at the untarred roads at Kruger. Only small negative would be the pronounciation is not always correct or else a perfect app!

This is a great satnav app which worked fine on my Nexus S until the Android 4.0.4 ICS upgrade. Will not load now, just freezes. Support told me to uninstall and reinstall, made no difference. Now it has taken them nearly 2 weeks to come back and ask me which version of Copilot I am running (8.2.0.964, like everyone else who is having problems). Clearly there are serious compatibility problems with ICS. Not impressed guys :(

An app that needs three reinstalls and two days of fiddling to activate?!? Primitive support with unhelpful agents. And no refunds. Ever.

Totally unresponsive! main screen comes up but can't select anything! Please do something about this

Best GPS I've used, easily. replaces any Garmin/tomtom. Helpful support.
