NutriHawk for Android
Could be a great app, just doesn't go into enough detail. Needs to have more foods to choose from, and include portion sizes
A lot of food is missing
This is what I was looking for but it keeps crashing & isn't tracking sodium. Great concept, hope to try again once some navigation/ bugs are fixed.
I think the app looks helpful. I need to track my vitamin intake. I have 3 suggestions for the app. 1 - once I shift the bar on a vitamin in the Manual Input mode, since the bar is so close to the left edge of the screen, it's difficult for me to shift it back to zero with my case on. My suggestion is to scoot the bar over a little bit to the right. 2 - add an option to type in the %DV in manual mode. 3- add in option to track daily intake in mg, g, iu in manual mode. Other than that keep up the good work!
Program is bad at math. Said my last intake of Vitamin C was never, then told me the top contributors, adding up to 110%. Is that 110% of my total intake, or my daily requirement? App creator needs to update links. Website is alexanderw.xyz Email is aw@alexanderw.xyz I did find it on Github, so I think that means it is open source? Sorry, I'm not a programmer so Github is kind of beyond me.
Food options are very basic; fruits, veggies, nuts, meats, etc. Disappointed that nut milks and butters are missing from the list, values have to be manually added. Chocolate is missing as well, one of the richest sources of magnesium and copper. I like how it tells me which nutrient I'm most lacking in, but I don't like how I have to Google lists of foods rich in whichever nutrient rather than having an in-app list of suggested foods for current deficiencies.
Cute idea big potential for 5 plus Stars!
Sadly had to uninstall because it did not have enough common foods in its database, like wheat, chia, flounder, or green beans. It did however have many rare and exotics like amaranth and Pike fish. Looking forward to it when they hopefully make it more extensive.
Clicking the hawk should go to the home page. Calendar function that lets you add the foods that day and see the deficiency.
So many apps are pushing the idea that calorie counting is the way to go to achieve a healthy diet. This app really takes into consideration ones vitamin intake...a true measure of a balanced diet. Great job!
Great to see an app that focuses on something other than weight! Looking forward to see how this develops - a more detailed summary of where I'm lacking with suggested food groups would be neat.
Could be useful
Love the design and UI.
