Kardia for Android
As others, paid for the unit then they want more to keep it going. V. Disappointed.
Just did the 4.7 update and lost all extra journal entries regarding diet, prescription meds & supplements.
Genuinely transformational piece of kit.
Not working anymore, stopped working after 2 weeks
Doesn't work. Just arrived with high hopes. Screen sticks at "recording will start when you touch the electrodes." Many minutes stride by as I attempted this multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, etc. Nothing. Huge disappointment, especially now when I need the reassurance the most.
I'm a cardiologist. I recommended it to several people. However, when I installed it on my android device, I could not get past the issue with the application overlay, even when IT assistance. This seems like a great program, but it seems incompatible with certain Android devices.
"There was an error with the network. Please try again." I have tried again over 30 times. I can't use the app because I can't create an account. The device, a Samsung Galaxy S5, is clearly listed on the compatibility list. I followed their instructions to uninstall and re-install with no change. I have tried 4G and wifi networks with no change. So far, AliveCor has not solved the problem so I tried lying: I told the app I forgot my password (I didn't have a password yet.) and I was sent to the reset page and I was in, finally. I recorded my first ecg. As a physician, this process is too complicated for the majority of my patients therefore I cannot recommend Kardia to everyone but only to intelligent motivated patients.
Very frustrated at this point. I am on my second Kardia device. The first stopped working, so AliveCor sent a replacement. It worked perfectly for a while, but now nothing. I have replaced the battery and reinstalled the app. Nothing has worked.
I don't know if it is just my phone, but I can't take screenshots anymore?? PLEASE bring that back, it was the only way I could properly get the information to my mom. [I'm 16 years old] Who is at worl for most of the day. And i generally need to get this information to her ASAP and my body is too weak or shakey to properly type everything. Yes i could call her but then she can physically see the EKG. Screenshotting it was the easiest and quickest way for me to do that. Other than this the app is great but I honestly wont be able to use it if i cant take screenshots of it when necessary. It says I'm unabke to take a screenshot ue to the Privacy policy, but its MY heart rate? I should be able to take a screenshot of that. Please bring back being able to take screenshots it'd make my life so much easier :(
Great device and app, was recommended by my cardiologist! Although it doesn't recongise and record certain conditions they are shown clearly in the readings, so we were able to see what my problem was, lots of ectoptics!
Last update worked! Great app. For peace of mind!
It's a lifesaver if you have a cardiologist who will read the results.
Caught my AFIB. Before I knew it occurred. Works great.
Doctor had me use this and most of the time it didn't work. Then when he read my results for the 10 days I was able to get it to work in the month, I was sent a bill of $15 for each reading and my insurance would only cover a few dollars of each reading. I have a good PPO that covers a lot. So if your doctor gives you this, don't use it. I couldn't imagine having to pay that bill of I was able to get it to work everyday...
I like that I can see what my heart is doing but, my issues is PACs and tachycardia both of which are basically ignored. Also, I take a lot of readings and to send/download them all individually is a pain! Maybe add the capability to access your app from multiple devices - I take readings with my phone but want the data on my home computer.
Used to work great but I just updated the app this morning and won't read right. Says my heart rate is 189 when it's only in the 80s and the ekg reading in unreadable. Sorry Kardia but your new app sucks!
It works on all my colleagues android... But not mine... disappointed a lot.. a great app otherwise n i would have given it 5 stars... But i can't use it at all... Still i give 3 as i have seen it working excellently on other phones
The device worked fine with my tablet using the original |Alivecor app but doesn't work with the new Kardia app. Alivecor have just supplied me with a new device but it still doesn't work. I have re-installed the app but still no luck so the device is of no use now.
It was working on my cool pad note 3 and Nexus 7 earlier and after their changing it to so called Kardia it doesn't work. Change the battery, reinstalled and installed app but does not work. AliveCor Apollo says since it is out of warranty they can't do anything. They try to disown the product, forget about even paid service. If some body wants to try a product for one year by paying Rs 7000/- (USD 100/-) buy it and enjoy this toy for one year.
Have been using this since 2010 to check for AFIB, have had 3 ablations, last one Dec 2013. Now check daily for resting heart rate and during chest pain.
I emailed Alivecor, but heard nothing back after their autoresponse. I know the device still works as i can see it trying to come through on my wife's phone which uses the old app. I even tried a factory reboot on my phone (Droid Maxx. 4.4.4). No luck. Can we get the old app back please?
This worked great for 6 months. Now it doesnt work at all. Every result is "unreadable". tried changing settings per operating manual but nothing works. Hope this can be updated and fixed.
My advice is to stay away from this dreadful product. The app programmers are apparently totally inept at handling audio signals, which this low quality product tries to use to send the EKG signal to the phone. Gees, this whole product seems to be poorly thought out and poorly implemented... a product to be avoided! Rubbish. Apparently they've never heard of Bluetooth.
I think Kardia is a fantastic idea and worthy of five stars but I have given two because of short comings. The cavalier attitude to customer support and lack of compatability with S Health lets Kardia down. I presume that the Android apk was an after thought and probably a poor relation to the IOS app. That is why I am demoting my 5 star rating to a 3 star rating. If you want 5 stars integrate with S Health. S Health has superior BP recording to Kardia and I only want to enter my BP data once. Quite apart from that S Health appears to be the more medically orientated apk when compared to Google Fit. Demoted from 3 star to 2 star because 6 weeks to reply to complaints on user reviews is too long and is a sign of poor customer service. Improve your response times to regain my esteem and the star you lost.
Before it worked perfectly fine. But it stopped working recently. It lacks any error message so I there is no directions of how to fix the issue.
Fails to take initial reading on Android. Never moves past screen telling you to put your fingers on the sensors. Tried replacing battery. No reply from support@.
I've been using it to track a fib episodes and have shared the results with my Dr. He said it was a good way to capture those episodes and it's really helped with his diagnosis and treatment.
The app needs to add a timer delay for starting the measurement after the button push. Without the delay the beginning of the chart is useless.
I keep getting unclassified reading, said possible reason is heart rate outside range, my heart rate was recorded as 73 only, please explain why & how to fix
since the update the app no longer gives instant analysis. moto 4g 3rd gen.
It just stop working
Doctor recommended, happy I purchased it.
I used it prior to me having heart surgery
helpful in my psych office for QTC computing
I Love the new features
This is generally a good app for breathing. Notably it allows for manual adjustment to the inhalation and exhalation rates. A few areas where there could be improvement. First, also allow for a manual entry of the hold between the inhale to the exhale and vice versa. Second, use some form of a pacing mechanism, such as vibration, so the client can have their eyes closed during the breathing exercise. Finally, a more calming visual and auditory stimulus would be helpful.
Hi there, i have been using kardia alivecor since 3 months now and it has worked flawlessly but since the last update it is not working. I used my kardia device on a friend's iphone and it worked well there. But on another android it failed to work. I am confused as to whats wrong. I feel something is wrong with the android app because it fails to access my microphone and also the other android. Please help me out here.
After discovering this was a thing, I have to say I'm impressed at its simplicity and that it works somehow while the phone is in airplane mode. It's easy to use, but also easy to fumble the reading. However, it's handy to have a way to detect potential afib when there's no doctor with a 12 lead EKG handy. Works on an LG G3
I have recently been diagnosed with Afib and on days where I obsess about my heart rate, being able to check and see that I am indeed normal is a relief that is immeasurable. Simple and easy to use. Purchased for $99 at the suggestion of my Cardiologist's NP. I imagine someday this could save my life.

Was absolutely a technological marvel for first thirty days.. then they cripple your $100 device by only allowing you to realtime view ECG.. no way to save it to your phone locally under your profile Then they want to extort $10 per month from you to allow you to save it. what a rip off. Going to see if I can get my money back... It would be like Google telling you that you can only view photos when you take pictures with your phone and not allowed to save it locally unless you pay them $10 per month...
