Palapa Web Server

This app really have no database server After day and night trials, this is my conclusion. 1 I downloaded phpmyadmin myself but it couldn't connect to db server. 2 The config file lasted hours in front of me, trying to fix things but still no nothing 3. Downloaded third party apps to do the work, the app couldn't work on the database, telling me to input database name, which I am yet to specify. The App is great at all other instance but tell me the usefulness of a php server without a database?

This is the only web server or web manager this phone has ever seen. When I click start service, it says error port 8080 in use. Which it cannot be. There is no place to change 8080 to something else. 8081, 80 and 81 are typical options. When I change the root setting to enable it says application not found, which has nothing to do with price of tea in China. I build websites and software for a living. Uninstalled this app in under 5 minutes

As I'm IT student its helps to reduce my work load and timings to work with my web server projects. Now I don't need to carry my laptop with me wherever i go.. very nice app, but the Database not working fine with WordPress plugin.. Can i use this app to connect my server to work over internet? Let me know. Thanks

Five stars for making the app for free. Unfortunately its not working in my Lenovo k6 power runs on marsmallow 6.0.1 Error : port 8080 is already used.

Tested only PHP server, it works well, but the app recognise it as stopped even if started and working. From the web panel all looks OK. I miss only two features: Virtual Hosts and the possibility to select PHP version. Galaxy S4 (gt-i9515) with CyanogenMod 13

I appreciate the beauty of this app, and the beauty of the developer's soul to put it up for free(ads notwithstanding). One thing though, people should be made to know that the version of phpmyadmin which the app was set to install(4.1.14.1) was an interim development version, and is no longer on sourceforge resource pages. To fix this, manually download phpmyadmin 4.1.14.1.zip. Extract to the server directory pws/phpmyadmin. That'll fix it, and give the developer time to sort it out.

Whenever I type localhost, I get an not found error even by typing 127.0.0.1. But when I type 127.0.0.1:8080, my local site comes up. I have no idea where the config file is pointing to but it would be nice if the developer made it available. For now I'll just use a bookmark so I don't have to waste my time typing a lot of characters.

I was able to host a WordPress site using this from my tablet. Only problem was updating phpmyadmin You have to download that from its website and put all files in phpmyadmin folder. Multi language version is not supporting download only English version. And put WordPress in www folder. Thanks for this wonderful app

I installed and tried to start services. It never said it started them and everything always shows unknown or stopped. However, upon trying to visit the server manually I found that it is running, at least partially. The app always shows stopped and won't let me change anything. It's completely non-functional.

It doesnt work on note 5. Please fix it to get better rating. The message box always tells me that the install is failed with error: unknown processor architecture.

Not seems to work on cm13 android 6.0. Bind port but not showing and all retry with failures. The internal phpmyadmin URL needs to be updated.

Love the new UI. Showstopper is that I now can't do any SQL at all because phpMyAdmin must be updated and I always get Failed with java.exception.EOF or something like that. Fix would be nice. Ta. Still 4 stars for being better than anything else.

Its actually really good app , i used in my dad's phone and work as well. But when i install in my device , it said that install failed with bla bla bla... Idk why it happen. Please fix it!! I really need this app. Some solution please

Won't run phpmyadmin even after manual install.... Your running mysql 4.2? The phpmyadmin source site doesn't even have or maintain a version that will run something that old! They only go back to 5.2 and we're at 5.6 general release right now. You haven't updated any of your repositories so the upgrade interface you advertise is useless. Fix your links to upgrade repositories and this will be the best webserver in the appstore.

My AVG Antivirus just raised a red flag for this app. Says it has two malware. 1 Android/Deng and 2. Android/r baz deaaebdc. These are android app within the app that may potentially be adware or may compromise your personal information. These safety risks should be considered before installing an app detected as Android/deng. This app is beautiful and works fantastically. However if the virus malware is resolved, I will give it 5 stars

App is really good but SourceForge link of phpMyadmin, maybe either moved or removed. ..hope you guys will fix it asap :)

I hope you can update the MySQL version of this, and i guess there is a bug if using root. It shows 'Application is still busy." i reboot it and still doing the same. Is it possible that you can add 'rewrite module' for htaccess in CodeIgniter?

Running great on nexus 5, android 4.4. Only having trouble installing phpmyadmin. Not sure if it's my network connection, or if it's outdated link. Going to test it when I get home, on a more stable network connection. Anywho, serving up my forum software, great test platform for web devs ;)

People complaining about the missing phpmyadmin should just download phpMyAdmin-4.0.10.12-english.zip and extract to sdcard/pws/phpmyadmin/. Everything else looks good. The version this app tries to install (4.1.14.1) was an interim development version, no longer on the resource pages. So the installer in this package will fail. However later phomyadmin versions also dont work. The long term support of 4.0.10.12 works an android with the bundled php version in this web server tool. Nicely done!

Works exactly as described, however, you have to leave the app open or Android will kill the service within minutes. Needs a status display in notification bar to keep Android from killing it.

It's what it says. This app has really help my Web development skill. Wouldn't get to where i am today without this app i guess.

Excellent app- confirmed working on CoolPad Arise, and nVidia Shield. Not working on Moto E, G, and X though. Wish I could use it on the E or G though.

I code every where now.. But the app does take much of my internal memory!

Running a webserver at a port > 1024 (eg. 8080) works OK, but when configuring a webserver to listen at port 80 (requires your Android is rooted, and option 'Use root access' enabled in Palapa) then the server just crashes if running at Lollipop. Palapa uninstalled, as being useless for my goal: A webserver @ port 80 that runs OK on a (rooted) Lollipop. Who knows a WORKING alternate? (even the app "Servers Ultimate" fails at Lollipop when used for this purpose).

Not working with ulefone be touch 2. Please add options SSH tunnel. It's important to me. I use to create a tunnel from JuiceSSH.
