En esta traducción se ha buscado que el lector actual reciba efectivamente el mensaje que querían comunicar los textos originales. Para ello se ha usado un lenguaje sencillo, que la generalidad de los lectores de Hispanoamérica pueda entender. Por eso, esta traducción se llama «versión popular». Al revisar la traducción se ha procurado que esa finalidad se cumpla de manera aún más completa.

Esta Biblia ha sido preparada por biblistas de diversas confesiones cristianas y en amplia colaboración internacional, abrigando la esperanza de brindar al mayor número posible de personas una ayuda objetiva y fácilmente asequible para comprender mejor la Palabra de Dios.
