Core Temp Monitor Lite for Android
"To get started, press on the 'Menu' key followed by a tap on 'Add monitor'." I use the Samsung Galaxy S5. There is no menu key, therefore there is no way to use this app. Since it hasn't had an update since 2011, it seems to me like these guys abandoned this app, and yet still offer the plugin upon installation of the pc software. Not impressed at all.
Totally useless if you use a more modern smart phone. Menu keys don't really exist anymore. There should have been an integrated menu as part of the app. Sad sauce.
This app doesn't do anything. The PC version however not only installs this useless piece of crap, but installs a billion other apps even if you click skip for extras. It installs malware like istartsurf.exe and it's not an easy uninstall. Thankfully I had no problems, but those who don't know how to regedit and so on, don't use this software. These are low budget ass sniffing developers who get their income through malicious freeware which they install along with their product without your consent.
I've used CoreTemp for years, including the remote sever for irc and vctemp, just decided to try this. It's nice to be able to monitor my computers from anywhere.
Connection reliably fails EVERY TIME. I've entered in my computer name that's in system settings, my IP address, and the port Core Temp CLAIMS to be listening on, and it just tries to connect until it times out. I know I have the most recent version installed on my computer because I just downloaded it from your site today. I know I have an internet connection, because I'm downloading a game on Steam as I type this. (Note: I was able to get to the menu by holding down the back button)
Needs a facelift. It works ok but needs also take in to consideration that you are going to use it outside your local network, where ip is going to be different to your isp given ip. Can be done creating two hosts, one ip each, but could be more convenient ???? And to add, to the comments below, you can use it with no real keys. You just need to learn how to use your phone first. (Hint: press and hold)????
Bought this then asked for refund, I haven't seen a menu key on a phone in years! Needs updating to work with modern phones.
There are ways around the menu key requirement for a lot of phones, but not for a Huawei P10 with the Omni button. No I won't change to on screen buttons for this one app. Dev seems to have dropped support too.
Answer to all people who think there is no menu key: i have found the fix, hold the *back* key on the phone and tap "add monitor" (there is no menu key on the iPhones, so don't think of getting this app on an iPhone)
Long press the key to the left (Switch Window) or right (Back Key) of your home button. This will simulate the menu key. It is a feature in almost all the new smart phones. App works as described
It works just like it says. You can also view the remote values as text in a web browser. For those who don't have a menu button, just hold down the button that shows current open windows (the one opposite the back button, looks like a square) and it will act as menu.
However I literally have no menu button... Please update app to current nav bar standard or something. Love the software on pc, was excited to buy the $1 no ad version, however, think I'm going to hold off on this one.
For those of you have a problem with the menu. Hold down the button to the left of your home button. This has been Samsung's way of still using the menu button ever since they changed from the actual menu button.
It says to tap on the menu button and add ... i have a galaxy s6 .. there is no menu button.... found that I have to press and hold the bottom right button down
Works well, but would benefit from additional display options, such as large text display of core temperatures. Would purchase with this improvement.

If you have the app-switching button instead, press and hold it down... the menu will appear... now go ahead and re-rate the app properly :)
S5 neo, can't add a device because I have menu key. So stupid

For the people saying there is no menu key on the s5 or any galaxy sound like Trump supporters to me. Hold down the 'fast app switcher' button and bam. Menu
Well others are complaining about not having a menu key they just need to learn how to use phones that dont have them (ps hold down your task switcher button and its then menu button....). Now my problem is I'm getting an error saying that the pcs data is not initialized. Shame would have been a cool app.
Configured everything, says connected, however it doesnt show any temperatures, just empty spaces.
As others have said, it connects but shows no info. There's 30 minutes of my life I can't get back
Heres a fix: Long press the menu icon on your phone screen until a menu pops up, then click add monitor.
would have loved if it had Gpu temp ,GPU power,GPU fan speed , hdd speed and network speed monitoring too
All you need to do is hold your back button down (Note 5) or one of the other button you have one of them should simulate the hardware menu button you just need to hold your finger on it do not do a quick tap give it a try if you have a Note 5 its the back button like I said above
Would have paid for this as I use it on my pc all the time. But as devices don't have menu keys anymore, this app is useless because there's no way to set it up
It works but I wish the app could show a bit more information. Especially maximum read temperature with a reset button like the windows software has.
Doesnt support devices without menu button. Dont support varius list of devices

Doesn't work. I believe the developer has dropped support for this. I found the question on their forum that the Android app is not working correctly, and shows no data, which is actually the problem I'm having. And there is no response to that question.
Connects to workstation, doesn't display temps in app.
Used to love this till it needed a hard menu key. My S5 doesn't have one, so the app is useless.
What's the host name vs monitor name, and alternative of IP is no easier to figure out
How the hell will I know the host name or port number. I have the pc software running on my laptop and it didn't ask these questions? Uninstalling it...
Used to work on my old phone...any idea for a fix?
It connects to the server but won't show any readings. Tried locally and remotely on 2 different machines. Just useless.
Can't access the menu key to get started.
Excellent, it took some time to setup port forwarding but after that everything working fine.

REQUIRES a menu button. My phone has back, home & recent apps keys but no menu key. Even a simple set of triplets to allow this functionality would make this usable! But it hasn't been updated in 6 years so... probably just abandoned
