About Guardbot - Anti Theft Alarm
Guardbot protects your device from theft or unwanted use. There are two ways it does this for you:
★ NORMAL MODE – using accelerometer
Activate this and set your device still on a surface – whether you’re in a bar with your friends or at home and you leave your device unattended, Guardbot will detect when someone picks it up and activate the alarm.
★ BAG MODE (anti pickpocket mode) – using light sensor
Activate this when you put the device in your pocket or inside your bag or purse. Guardbot will scan for changes in ambient light, and once it’s out of the bag it will activate the alarm.
You have time to set it still or inside your pocket, you can even turn off the screen (if you want to save battery).
For extra safety and fun, Guardbot has a unique built-in passcode system, it will require a 3-number touch pattern, you can set it by tapping on the screen using your fingers. Set up the passcode under the Settings button in the main screen, and don’t forget it!
Deactivate the alarm by tapping your passcode; if the wrong code is entered Guardbot will take a picture of the intruder and save it to your SD card/Guardbot folder.

Guardbot is an entertainment app, while it does a great job at activating the alarm and startling your friends or children, we cannot guarantee your device won’t get stolen. Best way to protect it from theft is to always keep it with you.
If your device doesn’t have a built in accelerometer or light sensor, the app won’t work. Please make sure you have the necessary hardware before installing it.
If you forgot your passcode use a task killer to shut down the alarm or restart your device.

App certainly needs improvement. It feels cheap and gimmicky. When turning off my display, there was no real way to tell if the app was running or not. A persistent notification would take care of that. Of course, this could be further improved if the notification also turned on the external LED that many android phones have now-a-days. A visual representation of the device's movement would be nice. The red eye is cool, but uninformative. Maybe include a few second countdown to disarm the sensor after moving it. A thief wouldn't be able to get very far in a few seconds. My main purpose for using this would be for a library situation where one needs to get up to go to the bathroom. Perhaps the jarring voice isn't the best idea. And I wish everyone would do this, but TASKER support.

"This is for the maker" I love your app but there's many problem that you can solve first change the theme make it more realistic so the theft can be scared,second the password do not use that make it a pin number,third Pick a scary robot voice . If you done this I know many people will like this.......

hay, since i lost my iphone 5 i was desperately seeking for a app like this. such a wonderful app. but plese disable the longpress shutdown mode whe the bag mode is activated. or the person who is stilling can easily shutvit down. and plese fix the capture mode, the app stop working after capture the photo and i found no captutured photo in the gallery (device HTC desire 610).and you can do one thing that is share his location and activate the mobile data to tack him asap. i guess my infos are helpful tks.
