Once a Day, Every Day, this live wallpaper will set your desktop to a new stunning image from the famous Astronomy Picture of the Day website.
A double tap on the screen will display the image description and copyright information.
A triple tap opens a dialog with the explanation
Swipe your screen and see the 'parallax' movement of your image.
INSTRUCTIONS!!! It is better to have a beefier device, as APOD images can be HUGE and require a lot of memory.
1. Once installed, press and hold on a clear area of a home screen.
2. When the menu appears, select 'Wallpapers'
3. Next select 'Live wallpapers'
4. Then select APOD wallpaper
5. Click on 'Set wallpaper'
6. Enjoy!
7. 24 hours from that point a new image will be downloaded

Works a treat on my Moto G. Would be nice if there was an easy way to see the info for today's picture (or the picture itself, unimpeded by icons) at any time, but you can always visit the APOD site for that if you're desperate.

I learned about the APOD in a college Astronomy class and was sometimes forgetting to check the website daily. This app solves the problem. Runs perfect on Asus Transformer Prime tablet. My only issue with this app being labeled as "live" is that there is no actual image movement. That actually requires less battery usage. So the only thing that is 'live' is that the app pulls a new APOD pic daily and automatically. I still give it 5 stars. (Does not work on HTC EVO 4G.)

This app is great. I remember using his APOD wallpaper app on my laptop and this version is just as useful. Ignore the bad grammar of the unintelligible bad reviews and try it our for yourself.
