DEVICE COMPATIBILITY - Phone & Tablet
To use the Visualizer to recolour your walls while viewing them in camera or video mode, your phone or tablet will need to have on-board movement sensors.
Not all devices (even recent ones) have this technology, but don’t worry – you can use the new Photo Visualizer to visualise colours using a static image of your room instead.

What are users saying about Dulux Visualizer

Z70%
by Z####:

Complete rubbish. Every image is dark with a blue tint when viewed in the app (not so when viewed in gallery). The colours are poorly visualised defeating the entire purpose. Unless the colours are wildly different, there is very little if any change to the image. Don't waste your time.

A70%
by A####:

It's clever and could be brilliant, but colours are so far off it makes it impossible to 'visualise' (defeating its purpose). The colours seem to be too greatly affected by the colours the walls already are. I even tried to use a colour/and temp corrected original photo, but still no help. If your room is already white I suspect this might work. Shame.

L70%
by L####:

Absolutely awful! Need to be able to define walls and then colour, when your room is magnolia is paints everything including the world outside! Sort it out Dulux, not good enough

Z70%
by Z####:

Clunky, no decent instructions just pure guess work, haven't got hours to try and work out how to use it. Overall idea very good, execution of it not.

D70%
by D####:

All pictures are upside down. What do I think? I think you have a glitch in your design...

Z70%
by Z####:

Was loving this until I went to buy more testers and it keeps saying error and some of my colours I was looking to buy full size have no results in the search bar anymore!!!

D70%
by D####:

Awful app - deleted after a few minutes.

R70%
by R####:

Keeps flickering..... ????

D70%
by D####:

Great app really helpful

D70%
by D####:

Not bad but would be useful if you could zoom in to the photo while masking and painting to get a better result. Also why can't you export as a jpg!?! Can only share a link and they can only see it if they have the app, if this is to get extra downloads then you will get them if the person likes the resulting image! Also colours seem a bit off what the swatches look like. I'm using a samsung galaxy s7 edge.

C70%
by C####:

It would help if the app worked or came somewhere near the original goal . It doesn't. Whilst the glossy example pictures look wonderful - in use it can't be further from the truth. The Visualizer is rubbish, very poor representation of colours, constantly flickers on and off and then paints the ceiling as well. I have a Galaxy tab S2. Uninstalling.

D70%
by D####:

Seems I have to put one or two stars to get a reply. I need an easy to use 'how to' guide' it's all been guesswork/ trial & error. I've transferred from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy A3 & can't get my existing Projects transferred. All info says is "ensure you save existing projects to Dulux.co.uk website in the Scrapbook", but HOW? This is a basic access requirement!

D70%
by D####:

Awful. Don't bother. Just shows everything as grey, even in a well lit room. This app looks promising but the reality is far from the glossy example photos.

D70%
by D####:

Jumps all over the place. Need a hand book to figure how to work it. Not a good app to use

E70%
by E####:

Visualisation doesn't work. Colours are nice to look at, but the whole point of the app for me was to see what colours would look good on my wall. All app shows you is different shades of grey......

G70%
by G####:

Unable to exit the app once open. Otherwise a useful app but I won't be using if I can't get back out of it.

D70%
by D####:

Unless your room is extremely well lit, this will show you what your room looks like painted in no other colour but grey.

P70%
by P####:

Doesn't work properly. Shame would have been a really useful app.

D70%
by D####:

Terrible. The colours look nothing like they should. I'm using an Android phone. Samsung S7. All the colours come out the same muddy grey.

V70%
by V####:

The colors come out the complete opposite of what it's supposed to illustrate. Not a good app.

D70%
by D####:

Using a Samsung Galaxy S7. Fine taking photos but selecting an area to 'paint' was a nightmare. Either it wouldn't select or when it did select, it would de-select another area! Would be so much easier if you could just draw over the area instead of trying to select a region, as shadows really affect selection.

Complete Rubbish. Keeps crashing:(

Z70%
by Z####:

Keeps crashing. Not had a single successful photo upload. The first thing an app should do above all else is work. Unfortunately, this one has a major problem with working.

D70%
by D####:

Colours aren't a true likeness, which is the whole point of this app surely!? Not a good app at all. More guess work than an exact science. Uninstalled ????????

C70%
by C####:

Constantly crashes not been able to view one picture on it. Rubbish

S70%
by S####:

As with other users' experiences keeps freezing/crashing; colour overlays don't save

D70%
by D####:

Crashes when trying to upload a photo

D70%
by D####:

Colour s are a bit different shades

D70%
by D####:

Kept crashing.

D70%
by D####:

Not good

D70%
by D####:

Really annoying how it hides the Android home/back buttons. Navigation within the app is complete guesswork, too. Also, seems to hide colours to avoid presenting too many. It's a pain if you know what you're looking for and want to make a subtle adjustment, e.g. slightly more green, etc

D70%
by D####:

It's got major problems swapping colors. Dark red replaces as dark grey instead of selected magnolia.

J70%
by J####:

The Android OS doesn't have colour management, so don't see how this app can get anywhere near accurately reproducing colours.

D70%
by D####:

Used to like this app but without masking tape feature it just makes everything go one colour. Useless for feature walls and I don't want my ceilings painted gahhh!

Y70%
by Y####:

Couldn't close colours I wanted, app didn't really work at all!

B70%
by B####:

Hard to use and very poor colour rendition.

D70%
by D####:

Inaccurate colours, takes over phone screen, slow to start.

D70%
by D####:

Good update but shame that the masking tape feature has gone. ????

D70%
by D####:

It can't overpaint dark colours. Unless you start with a white room you're not going to get an accurate idea of what your room will look like.

N70%
by N####:

Previous version was better as had 'masking tape' option. Please can this be added back into next new version?
