CardToContact Card Reader

I wanted something that i could put some bios for some clients. But now that i want to go back and change the pic or image, it won't let me. I have to delete the whole bio and start again. Am i missing something? Also, would be great to have pc version so u can transfer and sync info easier

The OCR is not working well at all. Every line needs to be corrected and some the letters it enters I have no idea where it gets it from This is not useful to me at all. Don't think the issue is with my camera phone as other apps have not problem.

Won't write to Google Contacts. Does a decent job of OCR capture, but after making whatever corrections are needed, the app will not save to my gmail account. "Error writing to device contacts." This error continues. Tried Card Scanner. Works with Google Contacts. Deleting this app.

Worked great for the first 10 cards. After that it gives me an error when trying to move the contact to my phone contacts. Sent email for help a week ago. No response.

Does a very good job on ocr... not perfect, but good given the diversity of fonts, colors etc on calling cards. I like the fact that you can choose and change categories for text, and that cards go into phone contacts.

Does poorly with phone numbers and emails, eg confuses 0 for o often

Big improvement on manually entering info into Contacts. However sometimes must correct info garbled in scanning.

I like the app and it's functions but recently cannot save to Contacts.

Constant crash after capturing image.

Very Essential App.. Basics are right please build on it... in terms of customizable installation folder to sd card.... Further improvements to customized back up. And exports to popular formats.. Will be happy to pay for this app

Stores a picture of both sides of the card. Doesn't alway pull text in accuratly, but is easy to fix and just delete what you don't need. Can pull adjusted info into contacts. I have found this app helpful in keeping my purse and car clean.

This makes it so much easier to save a contacts information. I use for stores, vendors, customers, and I feel confident knowing that the data is saved to Google account. Thanks! Keep up the good work.

Could have been better, but being free does the job. However struggles with small letters/fonts.

OCR is wrong most of the time. It's a shame. Everything else seems to work seemlessly. If they fix this, it'll be a great app.

Nice No more cards in wallet. Image scan not perfect. Ez to just enter data by hand when scan missed data. The cards photo's are saved so nothings lost refer to the card then. I like it. The apps not going to get all the information off the scan of every card but its still better then carrying 100s of cards on your person.

Decent app, most of the time it's able to scan all information, the rest of the time it gets the first few lines and the rest of the information is all strange characters.

Does 90℅ of the job. Works best with the flash on. Very easy to make corrections and move the text to their correct positions. Tried at least 4 other popular readers before settling on this one.

Took an extremely clear picture and the app punched in random garbage for the all categories. Only thing it got correct was the city and state.

Only problem is it mixes up the information and puts it into the wrong fields but not a big deal. Still an awesome app

Great card photos so I have all notes. The light turned on is a little green on the photo. OCR needs help, to often doesn't get the lettering correct. But easy to type in the defined name address etc.

Unlike all the other similar apps, this one actually works. Great layout too.

Easily keep cards and contact of new peoples whereever I go.

Excellent one to keep all our cards in one place. Best thing in this is it reads and put the values to the name and phone No's.

I love the fact that this reader automatically scans the image of the card and tries to plug the information into the separate fields where it belongs. The automated process is convenient. However, the app makes consistent mistakes that makes for a very frustrating experience. For example, whenever there is a letter O the app always replaces it with the number zero for some reason. I think that with a little bit more attentive maintenance, this could be a great app.

For me works better when i snap a pic using standard camera app then import / scan the picture using card reader

Great app, not only keeps your cards in order, but also sends card info to your contact list.

Saves time after networking events when you have tonnes of cards and want to be in touch

Pretty Good app. Make sure you double check the spelling because the business cards don't always transpose properly but, the integration with evernote is great!

Loved the idea. However, I spent more time correcting or retyping the scanned words. It would be faster for me just to type a contact card without this app.

I like this app because it doesn't force the cards to be integrated with your personal contacts. I don't call my business contacts everyday so I do not choose to sort through them to get to my personal contacts. The app allows you to keep notes on each card so you can save identifying information regarding where we met, product I was interested in, etc. The downfall is that the OCR is about 75% accurate but at least you do not have to type everything from scratch.

Had some issues with SE SP, works wonderfully well with my Xperia Z3

Thought it was going to be good but turned out horrible. It read one single word on the whole card and didn't even get the phone number correct.

Comparing to othet product so far yhis is the best app for it purpose with minir adjustment to be made everytime u snap a name card

I downloaded this business card reader about a month ago & i dont get that many cards over a years time even so the small bugs that it does have dont tend to bother me as much as they would if i was recieving cards on a constant basis because if you get more than about 10 to 15 in a month then this app doesnt save all that much time because you end up having to edit just about every field after it scans the cards especially if you get so many different styles.

Works, accurately, quickly, intuitively, and easily. Appropriate permissions. Samsung Note 3 running Android 4.4.2 (KitKat)

Junk! Don't waste your time. Tried 20 different cards not 1 was even close. Easier to just enter contacts by hand. Everything comes out like gibberish.
