Skew-t

Great app for determining what the weather is going to be like (if you know how to read a skew-t plot of course). Perfect for glider pilots for forecasting when the thermals will kick off and where cloud base will be.

This is one awesome app! Great work! BUT LAST DAYS IT DOES NOT WORK. FOR LAT/LON POINTS GFS SAYS NO DATA!

Two suggestions: The time for the slider needs detail. Is it referencing zulu or local? I can't tell. Also, a brief description of the models in the info wouldn't hurt. I'm familiar with some, but not all. That's easy to look up though. Aside from that, absolutely excellent app! Makes upper air analysis a breeze and a real value to GA ops. I'll be recommending it. Thank you very much for this!

Very useful! Maybe a short description of how to use the thermal trigger and other 'what if' scenarios in the quick start guide would be helpful to learn how to use it properly, but with a bit of patience it will come to you once you experiment with it for a bit.

Developer was quick to fix and update app when it was broken. Great app for meteorologists and pilots!

Can't get app to load local airport, so no good to me

Simple & intuitive interface, even on small devices. Excellent application!

It's really been handy when I'm on field looking for a quick reference. Please note, though, that recently this app quit working for some reason. It doesn't recognize any airport. Alan, please review. Thank you!

Can't get it to recognise my local airport codes in Northern Ireland, and the map tool to find locations seems unfinished. Designer very responsive, but those suggestions didn't help. Great potential but some way to go. Hoping for an update.

Full graphical interface for RUC soundings, much better than fiddling with the tiny lettering and buttons on the NOAA site. Plus it displays the local time. Developer is wonderfully responsive. And the app is free. Not much more you could ask for. SEP'16 EDIT: need to manually give the app location and storage permissions to work properly, it does not seem to ask for them during installation.

Brilliant. Well done Alan. 12/9/2016 Alan, tried to load on my Galaxy Note 10. 1 2014' Drop down menu (settings) does not show up and the ceiling info is not presented . No problems on galaxy s5 phone. Can this be remedied?

Pretty cool app to see what is happening above, would be much better if I didn't lose my favorite airports every time I closed or minimized the page.

It allows to forecast the skew-t graphic for any place by lat and long

It crashes everytime I try and click on the Find my Location. So I had to put in my Lat/Long, and it worked one day but not the next time I used it.

I'm a hang glider pilot and have been searching for this information in a simple to use platform. This app has now taught me so much and will increase my knowledge on the day. Thanks so much for the info!!! GET A DONATE BUTTON!!! Worth it!!!

A lot easier than going to the NWS website to get the data. Less options (different prediction models) but I never use them anyways.

Great and needed with all the Java headaches. However, it needs custom dewpoint entry to fine tune cloudbase(LCL/CCL) to have the full functionality of the FSL Java plots.

I have used this app for quite some time and find it very easy to use. I use it primarily to forecast cloud layer heights and freezing level for flight planning.

Thanks for this. I fly paramotor and paraglider so this tool is brilliant to provide a indication if the winds aloft.

No data available during rhe last days.

I'm quite impressed with the graphing and plotting abilities of the skew-T. A must have for any meteorologist or weather enthusiast. Just wish it were made to conform to material design guidelines!

... It would be nice if it covered all time periods. I appreciate the idea behind it appears to be for glider pilots but as a meteorologist this is actually a good app but it's annoying I can only view 8am to 7pm. All time periods are available on the ruc soundings site so it would be easy to incorporate I would've thought? I'm not sure what model it uses for bak40/13 but it never loads any data for on those models

I like the idea behind this, but I'm not sure why it won't load any data for me. I'm in Canada, so I tried Canadian airport codes and then I tried some American airport codes, still no data.. update: my firewall was causing some issues, after disabling it things work, I'll sort it out on my end. My apologies!
