This app is a player for applets created by Hollywood - the Cross-Platform Multimedia Application Layer on your Android device. Everything you have to do to run your Hollywood applets on your Android device is copying your *.hwa applets to a directory named "Hollywood" on your SD card. Upon startup, Hollywood will scan this directory and present a list of all installed applets from which you can choose and run your applet then. Alternatively, you can just tap on a *.hwa file and Hollywood will run it.
Hollywood is a multimedia-oriented programming language that can be used to create graphical applications very easily. It was designed with the paradigm to make software creation as easy as possible in mind. Thus, Hollywood is suited for beginners and advanced users alike. Hollywood comes with an extensive function library (encompassing over 700 different commands) that simplifies the creation of 2D games, presentations, and applications, to a great extent. Having been in development since 2002, it is a very mature and stable software package today.
Hollywood is a light-weight, but still powerful programming language that is just about two megabytes in size and does not require any external components. Hence, it is ideal for creating programs which run right out of the box.

So glad I bought Hollywood 5 for use under Amiga OS4.1 recently now i can copy my applets over to my Galaxy S3

Works great on my HP Touch pad Man I'm happy I bought the latest Hollywood 5.0 update as the updates have been really coming along! Hopefully next step (or at least my wish list) is to allow Hollywood users to load their own apps directly to Google Play as that would just be amazing !!!
