About AirScape Fan Controller
Scan your LAN, view fan status, and control all your network connected AirScape whole house fans! You can now use the AirScape Fan Controller app to control your Gen 2 Control AirScape whole house fans. No more need to boot up the browser or reach for that wireless remote.
With the AirScape Fan Controller app, you can:
* Conveniently SCAN your network (LAN) and find all connected AirScape whole house fans
* CONTROL any of the connected fans via the buttons on the app, just like a remote control
* VIEW status/temperatures/timer/SafeSpeed/interlock messages
* RENAME (assign custom names) to each whole house fan for easy identification
* ASSIGN a manual entry IP address to eliminate scanning on non-standard networks
Note that the app must be installed on a device connected to your local network (wifi on phones). It does not operate over phone carrier networks (3G/4G, etc.). Only AirScape whole house fans equipped with 2nd Gen Controls and connected to your local network can be found and controlled.

When not even running or visible in active apps, it is using 46% of my battery over 9 hours. My display on my tablet only used 8% over this same period. I've rebooted and downloaded it again yet it behaves the same on my tablet. I've had the app for close to a year now and the massive usage of battery is a recent development. Edit: Newest version still using too much battery power. There is no way this should be the second in line using power over even my screen use and games I play.

7/6/2015 - Still crashes immediately after launching. Doesn't work anymore. Uninstalled and reinstalled but still is broke. Fix it!!!

Edit after several weeks: it worked great the first few days but in the weeks since I can't get the app to find the network. Scan doesn't work on Android app or iOS app. After the 7/2 update I get force close immediately upon opening. Shame, I really want to like this. Customer service really tries to help, but I haven't been able to follow the technical steps to make the fan accessible via the Web. I'm back to pushing buttons on the wall panel.
