Hacker News 2 for Android
Great HN client, only broke once on me and developer replied within a few hours. Use it every day.
Now crashes when I try to reply, used to be great.
It works fast, without unnecessary frills, doesn't lag. My only complaint ever is that when I return to list of posts it loses my position, otherwise it would be a strong 5
Comments are broken right now.
Bug first noticed 24 August 2016
Broken. After logging in you can't reply to comments. Sometimes fails to load comments or links.
Fast and minimal with all the functionality. I've used other hn apps but I really like this one.
This was the best for a while but upvotes no longer work, comments stopped working ages ago. I still love the interface but the app only half works. So sad. I'd pay for this to work.
Excellent app to reading HN. It has access to Ask, Show and ofc New & Top. Everything what I need to pleasurable use it.
Great information density and easy to use compared to the other fancy HN apps. Voting had been unreliable for a while now, however.
Upvoting seems to not work most of the time, and I still can't figure out how to comment on articles :). Also reply button seems to crash the app!
There have been several updates just plain breaking this app on a nexus 10. When it does work, it works fairly well.
Was looking for: open source, submitting stories to HN via android share, voting, sharing links/comments, and a pretty good UI. This has all those things. I usually read HN elsewhere (rss) but I wanted all the other features in an app so I didn't have to hop into a browser. This lets me do that now.
That.
Crashy
Great app, highly recommended!
My go-to hacker news app, love the login access for voting
It takes you straight to the link and there no way to view comments. Update: I heard last issue was fixed so I installed again but it crashes when I try to comment.
Kinda useless without them, waiting for a fix. Otherwise it's my favourite HN app! Edit: Now fixed, woo!
The only HN reader with Open in browser and no awful adverts.
Can't search. Can't submit. Sometimes can't login and have to reinstall to fix.
Don't know what this app means, don't forget to think," Whatever you do, it may come back to "haunt" you. In your wallet or doing time.
This is awesome. Just keep this better Holo theme as is. We don't want material design.
Best hn app for Android.

Not sure why, but this app no longer displays HN comments. No fix for a week and I had to switch to a competitor. Sorry.
One of the better Hacker News clients out there. The user design seems a bit dated compared to other clients. Also, the latest update stopped all comments from being displayed.
This was a pretty good app, until I got around to updating it recently.
Discussion no longer shows up as of 4/18
* when tap on an article firstly comments section opens instead of the article itself. * if orientation changes the article is get refreshed/reloaded * no caching is done through app, offline reading is not possible even the article is seen very soon before
Very useful.
This HN reader has intiutive options and works well. The developers keep it updated so it's very reliable.
Works great. When HN changes format it can break the app but developers typically respond quickly to fix the issue.
Great app, my preferred HN client. Developers quick to fix bugs caused by HN changing their code.
This is the best HN client out there. Nice tight layout, color schemes, article/comment control. I wish comments worked.
Has a lot of issues loading HN content. Galaxy Note 4.
This is one of the better designed apps. I wish I could comment and reply to comments.
Excellent app to reading HN. It has access to Ask, Show and ofc New & Top. Everything what I need to pleasurable use it.

Really great little app that it's nicer than reading the website in a normal browser. One suggestion for improvement would be to nix the scroll bar in the comments section. My phone already scrolls when I drag my finger like most phones. Can't tell you how many times I have accidentally touched the scroll bar and zipped to a completely different place in a miles long comment section. Usually it is impossible to find where I left off after that.
