1620 and 1180 the Zone

App regularly cuts out and looks like they don't care to fix it.

I only download for husker season and listen while I'm at work for sharp and Bening, and post game ????????????

This app now stops on a regular basis like others have reported. Go directly to the 1620 the Zone website to listen live. That works just fine. This app will be uninstalled and should be removed from the Play Store because it doesn't work properly.

This app would be great to listen to 1620 if it actually functioned correctly. Radio stream stops about every 10 minutes and makes you go back into the app load it again. Extremely frustrating.

I have changed from 1* to 4* back to 1* Great app when it's working properly, but the live feed regularly cuts out or stops all together and you have to restart it. (I'd say atleast once every 10 min on average) The podcasts have segments that will occasionally be unavailable, but for the most part it's fine. If you only listen to podcasts this might be a 3 star app but as a whole definitely one star.

Echoing already what has been reviewed previously, app randomly stops. There is no consistent stream, therefore I'm uninstalling. Sad bc Sharp and Benning in the morning is one of my favorite shows.

I love this station, but this app is terrible. It stops playing every 10 min or so. So I have to open it back up and wait for it to load again. It's ridiculous, and frustrating.

Boy I wish this worked. For podcasts it's pretty good. I don't like that I have to hit the back button to go to the next segment because of the way the podcast lists are organized in app. But it works. Now if only I could say the same about the live streaming. Which I can't at all. On WiFi and in strong data areas it is spotty and no matter what buffer setting I choose, it won't just scream. And heaven forbid that my phone go to lock screen or turn the screen off... No, just like every rational human being I should set my screen always on so I too can enjoy the laggy, spotty circus that is this app trying to stream live radio. It's not even really worth mentioning that I think the layout on the app is not very intuitive. Instead I'll just note that I have a host of other apps that I think we're built from someone's bedroom that function much better. Maybe this app was just built for iphone... despite there being more than 3x more Android users in the market as of 2017 than IOS. Know your market? Many of us prefer more versatile tools than the iphone. Lose all the fancy feel until your functionality is there guys. Please!

Would be great if it worked correctly

Stream keeps stopping. Tried deleting and downloading several times with no luck.

Just sits and tries to connect but nothing.

Always buffering or turning off on its own. Who knows how much data it uses

This app use to work pretty good but lately it's been horrible. Love the programs but don't listen as much anymore cause of how frustrating the app has become, and I work during the day so can't listen live. (Update) Moved from 1* to 2* It's gotten better after last update but still needs a lot of work. Still has many podcast issues and live feed (when I actually get to listen) still stops at random.

Stream has always dropped sporadically. Its worse on newer version and even applies to podcasts now, which is a new problem. Update 10/14/2016. This version is still garbage.

Great content but omg this is such a bad app. I'll be listening live and then suddenly it just stops (always in the middle of a topic I'm interested in). I listen everyday and love the shows but this app gives me a headache every single day. If I could give this app negative stars I would.

This app is horrible. I try to listen to multiple podcast episodes one after the other and it freezes every time. I have to quite the app to just listen to another episode. Get it together...

Has issues launching, and interrupts constantly with other phone functions. Have to uninstall and reinstall monthly to be able to use it. One of the worst audio apps or there. Only deal with it because of the superb content it supports.

Stream quits 2 minutes in, every time. Might have to do with doze in marshmallow. Needless to say it is useless and it use to work fine earlier in the year.

The new Lyft pop up ad won't leave my screen, so I have to force stop the app. Very inconvenient for fans who listen to the pod casts, since we have to click on a new segment once one ends. That's another flaw with this app in my opinion. The pod casts should be able to run in order automatically, or users should have that option in settings. Live radio has a higher volume than the pod casts, so when the app switches to live radio from a pod cast the volume goes way up.This app has had issues from the start

UPDATE for recent version: Somewhat improved. Still has a problem ending the app. I regularly have a persistant notification after I have killed the app. So far I havent had to restart my phone to get rid of it. I like the alarm clock, no longer need to unlock the phone for it to start, however, please add the ability to select days for the alarm to go off. That would allow me to leave it on all the time instead of having to turn the alarm off every weekend. For older version: I have had this app since the first iteration. Ads pop up that block the screen. Have to exit app and restart.

Freezes if up for a long time (one radio show), randomly reloads pre-roll ads at an ungodly loud volume. The Uber ad that popped up over the player wouldn't go away and i couldn't use the back button on my phone to get away from it. You spend more time fighting the app than using it.

Why is this asking for root?

I use this app practically everyday. Much improved over the old version. Works like it's supposed to.

8/27/15 have to start the app multiple times to get it to start. I pause the radio and listen to the on demand podcast. When the segment ends it now unpauses the radio on its own which is very annoying.

Love being able to listen to "Husker talk" from here SEC country, but I keep having to uninstall/reinstall because it repeatedly is "unable to connect to live audio" and asks me to "please try again at a later time". Other than that, great app.

Says radio is connecting, but it never does. Instead, my phone locks up, and has to be restarted.

This app has all the properties of adware - memory hog, refuses to close, freezes os. Find another method to listen to the station or download The Bottom Line to listen to Mikel instead.

Doesn't stay connected, or it connects to 1180 when u want 1620 and vice versa....very frustrating....love the daily shows, but the weak radio signal combined w the crappy app is almost like the razor commercials where they don't want u to buy their razors. This station seems to not want listeners!!

Recent update has killed this app. Disconnects quite frequently and slow. I live in a city, data connection isn't issue. Wish they would have left the app alone.

I'm torn because I really love listening to 1620, but this app is terribly designed. Not user friendly at all and closing the app is a constant challenge. If a pop-up ad is displayed you can't even access the menu to close the app. It literally takes 30 seconds sometimes to stop the app, not cool if you need to quiet your phone fast. Gonna have to uninstall.

Was a great app and did everything i wanted too, i listened everyday. But since they did this new system Airkast 1620 dont work on my tablet or phone only the duece, so no husker talk. U shoulda just kept stuff how it was, thats why my rating went from 5-3... I woulda did 1 star but i love benning too much
