WLS-AM 890

Long ads and often cuts out and drops the Stream. I like WLS but this app is worse than listening the radio in almost every way.

Horrible app. Continuously crashes or freezes. Just want to listen to the radio, but requires constant management to restart or wake up app.

Total junk. App is way too heavy and filled with bloat. Resource hog, when all I want to do is listen to Rush when the Sox are playing.

This app is garbage

Keeps dropping the stream whether on wifi or cellular. Seems to be getting worse daily. Have had it on for 40 minutes and have to bring the app up and press play at least 6 times.

Since Tune-In doesn't seem to support WLS-AM talk radio any more, I found this app. I was skeptical if it would work after reading other reviews, but I tried it anyway on my old Motorola Bionic. It did open and load the station. Got the full screen ad then had to tap continue. Started to load and crashed. Phone screen flashed a couple times, and then rebooted. Re tried. After some delays, it finally started working and I had the station programming on. BUT, not without glitches! Audio frequently would sound garbled, like talking underwater. At any time, it would simply quit and crash, giving a crash report saying: Sorry! The App 89WLSAM (process com.airkast.WLSAM) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. This crash became routine after several hours of trying to listen. Blaaa. Bummer. Uninstalled. Update: Still bad. Installed on my LG-G3. Commercials and ads load great...The station doesn't! No good.

It stops streaming, you have to re open it

Completely waste bandwidth by showing video ads (this is a radio app). Completely waste power, unable to close app. Insane permissions. Cuts out a lot. This app is just plain Bad avoid at all cost.

Stream has been echoing or stuttering the last couple of days.....making it unlistenable.

No White Sox radio. Five stars once im able to hear them on here.

I downloaded this so I could listen to mark levin on the train. All it did was crash. Twice it let me watch an ad and then it crashed. You would be better off with a transistor radio powered by 4 D cell batteries. Conplete pos. Thanks for waisting my time. I work as an android developer for a tv station. I would be embarrassed to allow such a defective shameful disaster to be published. I'm thinking of voting democrat next election. Maby they will pass a nonfunctional app tax.

Like the station but the app sucks... Takes too long to connect, then randomly disconnects even with a strong signal. They have too much advertising complicating the connection. Just simplify so we can listen... Ugh

Streams most of the time, but refuses to go away. If you pause or stop the stream you have to navigate through a maze of ads to exit the app which doesn't exit half the time. Startup is not much different. Much better streaming apps to get better results.

I downloaded the app in 2015 and it was great. Now 4/2016 it's awful. It cuts in & out constantly & forget about trying to visit other websites or playing a game on your phone it immediately cuts off. I am uninstalling this app & I will use the Iheartradio app to get my Steve Dahl & Jonathan Brandmeier fix. Also can all personalities be pictured on the app & not just 4 tiled pix of Big John Howell?

The app works on the road nicely, but why does it want root access?

I used to use it on my Galaxy S5 during Steve Dahl. I upgraded to the S6 and now it bugs out. The radio stops and my phone locks up. I have to do a hard restart each time. Too bad because the Stever is the man. Please fix it. Saint Louis radio sucks.

It just didn't work. All you do is see the circle spin. Each release is worse than the last.

App hangs frequently. But they recently changed their lineup. They still have Mark Levin (delayed) and Rush Limbaugh, but they recently added Steve Dahl and Michael Savage. Those guys both SUUUUUUCK. They are crude and obnoxious, and not in a funny way. I don't listen to the morning show now either. The only reason i listen is for Rush. I have MarkLevinApp for Levin. WLS - WTF?

I was having problems with a different radio app and downloaded this. It streamed 20 minutes of ads and never went back to the radio host. I switched back to the other app only to join the host finishing his interview segment that I wanted to hear. This app has been deleted!

Please do not change this application. It works 100 percent on my Verizon s3. Every time they make an update on Google Maps it's screws it up even more. Don't be like them. I wanted an application so I can listen to the news on the hour while miles away from civilization.

App flashes the latest news stories....seems to favor plastering faces of the latest dead people...not local stories mind you..could do with out the morbid news ..its click bait..id prefer weather over dead children.

Nice idea for an app. To bad it is completely bugged. It has a lot of bad scripting. If you try and listen to what's playing live. And also try to view the news links. The app quickly becomes a recourse hog. About every 45-60 minutes. The radio will cut out. And then you need to force close the app. In order to restart the radio. You don't have as much of a problem. If you only listen to the live stream. And not try and look through the articals. But if you choose to read the articals. Then expect problems

I have no idea what everyone is crying about it does exactly what it is supposed to.

As a trucker, when I'm in Chicagoland I pick this up on AM, and 5 years ago in this station is where I learned about Rush Limbaugh. I started using iHeartRadio to listen to WLS but when I'm in slower connection, it doesn't work. So far this app streams smooth even on Edge and G. Thank you for this WLS.

This app crashes or repeatedly restarts the stream

The only thing that made me keep this crappy app was the Roe Conn Show and the syndicated Hannity show. Now WLS has neither. Finally time to dump this thing. WLS will not have me as a listener anymore.

Okay, how hard is it to update the app for Steve? Please get this together.

You would think wls would try to be at the top of their game when creating an app for the station. This thing constantly won't open at all or just quits. Wls also does not allow their stream on tune in radio either. So the only choice as far as phone radio is not listen to WLS when so many other stations have great apps. Come on WLS FIX IT!!!!!

If you like to listen to ads instead of content this app is great. Plays an ad then promptly crashes every time.

Won't launch on my HTC Inspire. Worked fine on my Galaxy Note.

I don't understand why they can't get this to work on Android. Its not like Android is a small little os.

App is now crashing. Use to run well. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still won't run.

Worked well, now it plays a commercial and then exits.
