Air Band Receiver for Android
4 STARS as it is very nice and does EXACTLY what is says it does. NOT 5-stars because you can't save and no 'dials' - must manually enter frequencies. GREAT start, but please keep going. Thank you for providing this.
However I'd really love to see a 25mhz or 8.33mhz list or the ability to save multiple channels in and switch between them. Possibly even a scan function, which cycles through set or saves frequencies for easy listening to multiple channels. That said it's great to see more apps coming to android using the rtl dongles.. Definitely look forward to future updates and would happily pay for a supported, adfree version once it had features i mentioned :)
It works but it lacks scanning and lacks storage of channels. Dear programmers, I am sure you could do a bit better with this app! Would be looking forward for an update.
Unless you BUY A FREAKING USB ANTENNA DEVICE??!!?? Why can't we get the transmissions from the internet like on Broadcastify, Scanner Radio etc.
This needs external dongle.

I think most of the one and two star reviews are from people who don't understand what this does. This is receiving the communications local to the device, this needs a radio, hence the SDR dongle. The traditional way of doing this needed a raspberry pi or a Linux PC, rtl-sdr, and a lot of configuration. This makes the process easy. Where it scores over internet based apps like LiveATC is that you can use it in places like the UK where uploading is illegal. Good for training radcom skills. Would really appreciate saving of channels
