AICOLink - Bluetooth Universal Remote Control

Junk. I got this through kickstarter and since day 1 it's been a let down. I've not used it for months so I thought I'd try again. Yep, still jisyva flashing egg that occasionally beeps... what a waste of money, this thing had soo much potential :(

Doesn't work, but will drain my battery

Thought I'd give this another shot after so many months - NOPE. Still a piece of junk. Lists my Aircon remote model but doesn't let me select it. Self learning is rubbish and works half the time. Wish I spent this money on some real eggs that I can eat instead.

Besides being quite buggy and laggy, I can't use it for my purposes. Both my receiver and TV aren't in the database even though they're common devices (Denon and Samsung). So tried "Smart Match", but that didn't work. Then tried the learning function, but it never learns anything, and I tried both my TV and receiver. When I choose somewhat similar models from the database, some buttons work but I'm missing important ones. So all in all it's useless for me as I would still need my remotes for common buttons

App is now in English, but requires a Chinese phone number to activate.

New version not even opening

Can't add any device app closes everytime i try and egg shuts off

Than a dune buggy the. Became a lot worse after the update. Now it won't work at all.

As soon as I request for verification code. It says verification code already sent. But nothing comes up

Every single time try to connect to the device ,the app will close automatically.... cant access the device at all.

The very need to enter phone number is stupid reason for security. I'd urge the developers to take a look at the secure sign in options provided by Google. Secondly, I am not receiving the verification code even after trying from various devices for a week now.

Forced to sign up for when it's really not needed. Store my settings on the SD card or allow backup import. Another useless account. Doesn't even let me sign up, verification code error every time. Waste of time and money.

The timer/alarm function displays some arbitrary time despite what I've set it for. I can't seem to find a way to make it show the correct time. Even deleting all the timers and creating a new one doesn't correct this. Another problem is, there's no option to turn off the beeping. Maybe the "buzzer" on/off is the setting for it but it doesn't work, the thing beeps regardless of the setting.

Very buggy, and very hard to use. Tried for over an hour to add 1 device and can't get it to work. Has no codes for cable boxes. You need to teach it each key. It gets about half of them correct. Trying to edit the wrong one's is tough. The slide out menu for numbers does not function for cable boxes instead it adds them to the wheel. It's crashed 3 times during the setup and testing. Kickstarter product shipped 2 months late. I am going to wait another month or 2 for others to go thru the growing pains with this product, maybe they will get it fixed but I am not too optimistic.

App need improvements. Including a MUCH broader remote index. Functionality seems to be limited. I managed to sync my tv & bluray when 1st setting it all up, but then stopped working after 1st test. I've not been able to successfully set up ANY remote since, by any method(product search, smart March or self learning). Support on the aico.tech site is limited. Have to say I'm greatly let down my 1st kickstarter purchase :(

Really buggy now, spent hours to add my custome dish remote(default one lacks of lots buttons), still can not work. Hope will get update soon, otherwise maybe just 'cook' this egg.

I found my TV remote but the unit does not want to work. Please fix.

After the last update it improved a lot. If they also change a little the layout it would be very good

Give it time. If they respond to the feedback then this could be a decent app. Hard to satisfy everyone on day ONE

I'm not getting a verification code

Can't rate this low enough and I'm stuck with the associated technology. Database of equipment is poor, little to no instructions, 'IR training' doesn't work, English version littered with incomprehensible Chinese character labelled icons. Features shown on YouTube simply are not there. Total crock, suspect videos shot IOS version. We have been actively mislead by vendor. Tech support site is rubbish as well, difficult to navigate and responses do not help.

I have Chinese messages in English language. A lots reboots when I try to teach a Sony remote. You must improve the appearance and the application. Work hard.

Smart Egg arrived today, but I can't use it. The registration process is annoying, involving entering my mobile phone number and waiting for a code to be SMSed (why by phone, why not email? Why require registration at all?). I have received several codes and NONE of them worked. Also, I cannot connect to the device by Bluetooth, it shows up on the list of devices, but is unable to pair. Not a good start for this kickstarter Backer. I tried on a different device, rego still fails.

This app just does not work. Can't really say "oh we have a iOS app that works better". Some of us don't have an iOS device. Come on get this version working correctly. Can't use my smart egg at all!

Even with latest version installed, and app closed, Bluetooth requests still pop up. In the app, language chosen is English, still get messages in Chinese. Overall app design is horrible, unintuitive, and not user friendly. Big let down as it renders the smart egg useless!

My battery is doing good now. But still lot of functionality is missing. Timer action doesn't work for example. I will update my review upon further updates.

I've had no issue with this so far. It works great for the time being well there could be improvements such as some of the typos and some the functionality it works great for the most part.

Registration wirh email address seems to work but the password fails. Why do we need to register anyway?

Well this was a bust. My smart tv isn't even on the list and no matter what I try it doesn't work. Wish I could get my money back.

Constantly disconnects. Terrible.

A little learning curve but otherwise working as promised.

Can't even pair my DALEN led light remote even though it was listed in the supported models in the app.

Application has improved but still has a bug with verification codes not arriving.

It's total rubbish. Nothing works. Supposed to be created in Singapore but obviously all testing was done in China on their local appliances.

Despite being singapore product, the device support did not include local devices such as fans, aircons, tv boxes, etc. Can self learning be done for aircon?
