Geo-Tagged Audio

This application records and playbacks audio with geographic coordinates attached to corresponding instances of the sound. While recording, the app grabs the current location from GPS or Network and saves it in a separate file. During playback, the path of the recording is drawn on the map, and the approximate location at the current time of the audio is marked on the map.

The original idea comes from an earlier project I worked on in which I recorded audio along a busy street in Istanbul. There I had to carry pen and paper and write down the location and time by hand. So, this app records your location and saves it in /perisonic/audio folder of your SD card. I don't secretly send your info to my servers etc. as I am not really into that kind of stuff. You can always delete or (e-mail your friends) the audio and location files in your folder.

Lastly, this app is only tested on Huawei U8650 running 2.3.5. I don't own any other phones and I am not an expert Android developer, so if the app crashes on your phone I might not be able to fix it. However, you should still let me know and I will do what I can...
