Hukum menikah itu sangat tergantung pada keadaan orang yang hendak melakukan tadi,jadi hukum nikah itu dapat di klasifikasikan sebagai berikut
1.wajib.yaitu apabila orang yang hendak menikah telah mampu sedang ia tidak segera menikah amat di khawatirkan akan berbuat zina
2.sunnah ,yaitu mana kala orang yang hendak menikah menginginkan sekali punya anak,tetapi ia mampu mengendalikan diri.dari perbuatan zina,baik ia sudah berminat menikah atau belum.walaupun jika menikah nanti ibadah sunnah yang sudah biasa ia lakukan akan terlantar
3.makruh,yaitu apabila orang yang hendak menikah belum berminat punya anak,juga belum pernah menikah sedangkan ia mampu menahan diri dari berbuat zina.padahal ia menikah sunnahnya terlantar.
4.mubah,yaitu apabila orang yang hendak menikah mampu menahan gejolak nafsunya dari berbuat zina.,sementara ia belum berminat memiliki anak dan seandainya ia menikah ibadah sunnahnya tidak sampai terlantar
5.haram,yaitu bagi orang yang apabila ia kawin,justru akan merugikan istrinya karena ia tidak mampu memberi nafkah lahir dan nafkah bathin.atau jika menikah ia akan cari mata pencaharian yang di haramkan ALLAH walaupun orang tersebut sudah berminat menikah dan ia mampu menahan gejolak nafsunya dari berbagai zina.padahal.
bahwa hukum menikah tersebut juga berlaku bagi kaum wanita. Ibnu Arafah menambahkan,bahwa bagi wanita hukum menikah itu wajib,apabila ia tidak mampu mencari nafkah bagi dirinya sendiri sedangkan jalan satu-satunya untuk menanggulangi adalah menikah . that the law also applies to married women. Ibn Arafah added, that for a woman to marry the mandatory law, if he is unable to make a living for himself, while the only way to cope is to get married.
