About I Am Hope
“Do you want to grow in your faith? Are you ready to live what you believe, and share your story with others? Inspired by Pure Flix’s film I’m Not Ashamed, the inspiring true story of Rachel Joy Scott at Columbine High School, the I AM HOPE app is designed to engage you with your faith in community, outreach, discipleship, and service. The app is a call to action to continue Rachel Joy Scott’s chain reaction of Hope and Compassion. Rachel Joy Scott, whose life was tragically lost in the 1999 Columbine High School massacre, was a Christian who believed that one act of compassion could start a chain reaction and make a world of difference. Emphasizing all areas of ministry about which Rachel was passionate during her 17 years on earth, I AM HOPE includes two four-week discipleship series empowering you to share your faith.
The app includes eight weeks’ worth of studies and resources, as well as two weeks focused on outreach and serving your community.
The first four-week series titled “HOPE” is built to give you the resources you need to know your story, share it with others, and serve your local community. In week one, “H” in HOPE stands for Help. During Help week, you will be equipped with a basic leadership tool centered around living out the Gospel. In week two, “O” in HOPE stands for Overcome. You will learn how to overcome fear, worry, and doubt that comes with sharing the Gospel. In week three, “P” in HOPE stands for Prepare. You will be prepared to know how to share and understand the power of telling your story. In week four, “E” in HOPE stands for Engage. You will be encouraged and supported to engage your story through the Gospel of Jesus in your community.
The study series in the I AM HOPE app incorporates video clips from Pure Flix’s movie I’m Not Ashamed that tie into an additional, bonus, four-week study plan. Topics in this short study include: “God’s Love and My Pain,” “Being a Family for the Outcast,” “Sold out for Christ,” and “Seeking for Answers in a World Full of Lies.”
You may have asked yourself, “If God loves me so much, why does He put me through so much pain?” in “God’s Love and My Pain,” you will learn how to find hope and trust in God through your pain, knowing He will use it for His good.
In “Being a Family for the Outcast,” you will be encouraged to be a champion of the underdog, the outcast. Reach out to those in your community who need a friend.
Furthermore, the battle of selling out for Christ is one that we fight each day. The world we live in is constantly trying to get us to conform into its image (Romans 12:2). In “Sold out for Christ” learn how to live a life completely sold out to Him.
As one who wants to live a life sold out to Christ, how do you live in the world but not of it? In “Seeking for Answers in a World Full of Lies,” you will be asked to consider “What is the world that you are pursuing in life that may be damaging your relationship with God?”
In addition to the encouraging and empowering series, the app’s positive and encouraging interactive features include responding to the series with your personal reflection, sharing your testimony with others, requesting prayer requests, responding to others’ testimonies, and praying for others’ prayer requests. This is a safe place to share your heart and build community among other Christians.
Additional content is delivered to include special scenes from the film, trailers, and music videos from Christian artists Abigail Duhon and Jeremy Camp, both singing their creative interpretations of I’m Not Ashamed.”

3 stars for the concept... Sadly it crashes without opening any features on my device. Hoping for a fix to utilize this great idea.
