Crappy interface Unable to read basic information. Black font on a dark background. Impossible to setup alarms. Alarms are not working properly

W70%
by W####:

App crashes... Blank font on gray background hard to read... If i lock my phone... Data stops coming in... Love the thermometer hate the app

X70%
by X####:

Terrible UI on the app, really expected better from them. Probe works great, but the app was clearly designed poorly with hard to read backgrounds and numerous crashes and restarts. We use it to monitor and log temp in a smoker, and need the app to do its job better. Disappointing would be the one word to describe our experience so far.

Live monitor doesn't work, we have to close the app and open it again to get a new temperature reading

App won't show live data. I have to close app and reopen to get a snapshot. Disappointing to say the least.

I purchased RH probe, we use it to keep track of servers environment and works pretty well. Saves time...

Terrible color theme making things hard to read. App claims it can't find a Google account on the phone. Completely useless.

Trying to set up alarms, it has crashed 6 times. The UI hasn't improved at all and is very clunky.

Very basic, very disappointing App on Android. I love my iCelsius thermometer, but I hate the Android app. It's nothing in comparison with the iOS App. Android users BEWARE stay away from the Android app and use the iOS instead. EDIT: I accidentally deleted the original rating after Aginova replied, asking for what is wrong. My bad. But Dear Aginova here is what is wrong with the App: Launch the app on your iPad and then on any Android tablet. on iPhone and Adroid phone it's similar, but on Android tablet it's not even in the same universe when it comes to functionality and usability as the iOS app. That is what is really disappointing, I have to borrow my wife's iPad Air when Smoking/BBQ'ing instead of being able to use my nVidia Shield. I'm not sure about the version (don't have the tablet at hand) but will check and update here. Thank you for your reply.

Won't stay connected. Won't log temps while phone screen is off. Dual probes are 10 degrees apart with no way to adjust them independently. Also, why isn't there a temp display on the icelsius unit? Seems like a no brainier.

I'm a foodie and I love to cook. I love the iCelsius unit, very helpful to check exact temperature of the dishes.. Great!!

Very basic, very very disappointing App on Android. I love my iCelsius thermometer, but i hate the Android App. It's nothing in comparison with the awesome and fantastic iOS App. Android Users BEWARE STAY AWAY from iCelsius products until they either improve their Android App or you have to use iOS devices to get full functionality from the device!

Loved this device!! Perfect companion for BBQ and Meat lovers. The app has all the features i need and works awesomely. Thank you guys for making my life easier

BBQ meat probe failed on first use. App won't connect through secured network. Display won't rotate where I can actually set up my Nexus 9 tablet. App not even available for my upgraded Galaxy SII phone, although the lowest version on the box says it should be. App has no option to override and keep the screen alive. Not useful with a meat probe that can't take the heat, and an app display that can't DISPLAY...

App is ok, but I cannot connect in remote mode because the base transmits with Sensor ID (1) instead of the actual one printed on the back with the key, so even if i've registered my device in Aginova portal, the base is never identified, and of course I've not the key to register as (1). I have bbq dual probe and there is a gap of almost 1° between them while temperature should be the same. Hope next releases will fix my SensorID bug in some way, like with a factory reset functionality or something...

I just received my iCelcius wireless with the dual BBQ probe kit and am very impressed with how everything works. It is awesome to be able to connect directly, through your wifi network (infrastructure) and even the cloud to remotely monitor when away from home. I can't wait to try this out on my next venture with the smoker in the back yard. I do think that the setting on your android phone that drops the wifi to save battery will probably need to be disabled so that the connection will be constant and the graph will read continuously, but this is no fault of the product itself. If all works as advertised, this is the most technologically sophisticated remote thermometer on the market right now!

UPDATE: 9/9/2014: The new updates seem to have fixed most of the issues. It hasn't crashed in the last few uses. It does seem to disconnect from the wifi signal if I look at a text or something, but another reviewer pointed out that it may be an issue with the actual phone. I suspect once I change the settings, it will work perfectly. This is an excellent thermometer that gives accurate, up to date temperature readings on your phone, as long as it's an iphone. The Android app is super buggy and won't stay connected to my phone for more than 30 seconds. It has also crashed several times while I've had the app open, trying to figure out why it won't stay connected. I've tried the various connection methods to no avail. This was clearly designed for use with iOS, which is evident when all of the trouble shooting answers on the website are for the iphone. When you pay over a hundred dollars for a thermometer, you shouldn't have to buy a new phone as well.

Numerous bugs in the current Android Version don't exist in the IOS version. Also neither version appears to be feature complete yet. Idea is food, just needs work.
