myShopi – #1 shopping list app

This was one of my favourite apps for shopping and does everything that I want from a shopping app, however every time I change my phone or, as in this case, there's a big update, all the images that I had stored are lost forever. I then have to spend hours searching the internet or taking photos to get back to where I was. This lack of being able to retain my images is now forcing me to seriously reconsider the value of this app. My recommendation to the developer is to get this sorted ASAP. My recommendation to anyone considering this app is to use another one in the intervening period or, at some point, it'll eventually end in tears.

From Australia. I loved this app and had it set up with MY products and photos. My photos of Australian products are ALL gone! Plus, products I deleted are back again. There are shrimps and lobsters but no prawns or crayfish, cookie but no biscuits, something called a popsicle which appears to be a chocolate dipped ice cream, bits of cake labelled as pie (we have both meat and fruit pies), ketchup but no tomato sauce, white rice but no brown or long grain rice.. This was meant to easy. Now it isn't. With one email the creators could have let everyone know to save screen shots, at the very least. Looking by or call replacement, possibly pen and paper.....

I used to love this app & have used it for a few years, but I'm now searching for a new one. I had hoped that you would eventually figure out how to keep the pics people add. I just got thru adding all the pics, (again), after getting a new phone & now you've done an update & none of them are there anymore! It took me two weeks to get them all back! I don't have time to be doing this if I change phones or every time you get a bug up your asses & decide to do some phantom upgrade that we can't even tell you've done! All other apps are able to bring back pics that have been added, why can't you? There should be a - star we can use that says what you've done sucks!

This has always been the best shopping app out there for many reasons but especially because of the pictures. Every time there's an update or phone crashed we lose pictures! Why can't the pictures be backed up with all the other data? And why doesn't it truly back it up to your SD card if you have one? It only ever backs it up to my phone data. Very frustrated please fix!! Ugh????

I love the way this app associates photos with each item. It really helps a visual person like myself. So I keep using it, despite how painful it is in other ways. For me, the pain points are that there's no reasonable way to sync my lists with another user, and every time there's a significant upgrade, or if I change phones, all of the custom items I've accumulated are either lost completely, or the images I've associated with them are lost. Very frustrating, and the developer doesn't seem to care at all.

Was really great until update threw away not just pics but all the additional categories and info that I'd spent hours putting in. Not risking it again. Also it now crashes all the time so is unusable.

Used to love it. Last major update has ruined it. Pictures keep falling off, even ones app had from start! Added a few things to my list, next day they were gone. Change it back or I'm changing apps!!!

Used to love this app. Then it stopped being supported in Australia. Having memory issues, all I need is an app I can put photos with list items. I put up with having to re-enter photos with each update, new phone, etc, just for that specific feature. Poor form.

rating dropped on the play store for a good reason...loved this app...had several custom lists...lost everything with latest update. emailed with "mike my shopi", but to no avail. no response.... great customer service!

Why do the developers keep changing their app? Every time they do that, I have to re-do the pictures. The only thing that gets backed up is the lists themselves. If I could give it zero stars, I would. This is getting ridiculous.

Been using this app for a few years and loved it. Pretty much the same story as everyone else with regards to the dropping of support for certain countries after the 1.0.1 update. The update says that it will save your data, but nope. Uninstalled. If I'm going to spend hours customizing a shopping list app all over again, I think I'll check out the competition.

This was my fav app and it used to work great. Now you managed to ruin this great experience by " unfortunately does not work in your country" like I am on mars not in Europe !!! And no back up of my files does not work, there are only few names of product without pictures and I used to have all of products which are specific for my country. Not sure that I will use this. Too much work to do it again. And if I am not mistaken it used to search pics via google engine now it is only search the internet. Hate it.

I have just come back to this after several months of paper lists. App itself is great but comments regarding loss of data after updates and, more significantly, complete lac of any response from developers has given me second thoughts. I know we are not paying for this but please have decency to acknowledge your users.

I loved the app and spent some time setting it up and adding my products. They updated it recently and required a new install. They prompted me to approve a backup of my existing data but much to my chagrine all of my products and stores were not available anymore. Boo.

They quit supporting US version, said I had to download international version, and it would save my lists. I followed directions, said it migrated my lists from old app that now was inaccesssible to me, and now my lists are gone! ????????????????This used to be 5 stars!

When forced to install this new one, and you can transfer databases, for the love of god, why the @%#$ does not custom pics get transfered? Is it to hard to implement?

I lost all the pics I had after the upgrade. Total disappointment.

This was a great app, however last update lost all pictures that I had added. Unfortunately it's not the first time that this has happened. I am now looking for an alternative.

Every time there's a change in this app or I change phone I lose most or all of my items. Seriously irritating. Could be a great app.

Why do my images keep disappearing? This is a good app but recently has been getting very buggy.

The app updated and all the pictures of my added foods are no longer there! Really angry!

Best shopping app I've come across though it would be good to have an option to save data for transferring phones. Also just an idea, it would be great if you could put a section in for meal planning too.

I love it but I hate that in global database, deleted items and categories are only hidden not really deleted, they keep showing up when I type to add items.

Only works with icons for added items in Belgium. So if you aren't in Belgium- good luck.

I've hung onto myShopi for years now in the apparently vain hope that the developers would add what seem to me to be extremely obvious upgrades: a) the ability to share synced lists with family members and b) the ability to retain/save customised features like added photos and categories. It is baffling that they will not do this as it would then become the absolute best shopping list app available, and one WELL worth paying for. Very disappointing that after all this time still nothing has changed on that front - what a waste of an otherwise truly awesome (and unique) app concept :(

Really irritated. Have used for years and today while at the market attempted to open the app but said i had to download a new app. Pathetic ypu couldnt just add updated like other apps rather than forcing the user to download a whole new version

Deleted all my lists and products with the update. But the new ads work FLAWLESSLY. Deleting app.
