Chicago Sun-Times App

Keep getting the message,"Unfortunately the SunTimes app has stopped working."

Crashes constantly, freezing phone until you close it from memory. Also, no way to turn off notifications.

Previous version was very nicely designed but started giving "invalid response from server" and nothing loaded. New version works but is buggy: the list of articles shows the article titles but empty placeholders instead of photos. Awaiting for fix.

Save me a lot of money don't need a newspaper no more love it

The black background makes it hard to read. Also the font size is small. articles in most sections don't update frequently.

Downloaded the app a week or two ago, would have rated it 3-4 stars (not as nice as the Trib app, but that's fine since the S-T App doesn't extort $ from you after ten stories). Then...it completely stopped working. Getting the same "invalid server response" message reported by others. Clearly, this is not an isolated issue. You're missing the opportunity of capturing folks like me who are sampling new options after the Trib's moneygrab. Droid Turbo 2014, happens whether on cell or wifi.

After a while, it crashes and won't open.

Can you please not plaster EVERY shooting on your main page? The articles on the main page are 97% murders/shootings, 3% other news. I didn't download this app to read about every shooting in the city. UPDATE: I ended up uninstalling the app. Not enough variety in the stories. Only talks about shootings..... Smh...

I can find columns by Lynn Sweet, but nothing by Neil Steinberg, Mary Mitchell, nor Mark Brown. I can get news anywhere; I read the Sun-Times for the columnists.
