HISTORY: Watch TV Show Full Episodes & Specials

I want to start off by saying, I love the History Channel and their shows I would have to say I watch it more than any other channel... With that being said I have to express my disappointment in the new changes to the History Channel app. It feels very generic and cheaply done, nowhere near the amount of options the old app had, I honestly feel like it was a downgrade from the old app rather than an upgrade!... Very disappointed wish I could go back and never do the update. I am going to have to lower my star rating by two stars hopefully the next update will hold big Improvement ????????????

Please contact hulu or Netflix and beg for how to run a streaming app! You guys suck ass! Seriously, it shouldn't be this hard. What is 0066 no account returned, why can't I just select what I want and watch it? It's 2018

I love the history shows and I love watching them on the app. I'm growing tired of having to uninstall it and re install it every couple days though to watch my shows. I keep getting an uh oh error and its kinda annoying.

Great...now I can watch sub par American trash reality television on a history channel?!?! I struggle to find quality in these shows. Please don't slip further into stupidity! Let mtv do American stupidity!

My FAVORITE channel, my favorite shows, fantastic selection of everything on History Channel and folks, IT IS FREE! I never miss an episode! I cannot rave enough about this app, you will not regret this one!

They tell you of all the shows on history channel. And I love the history channel, but few videos, good ones are locked. Get Hulu or Netflix and see more....even YouTube got more, this app waste of time.

Ok 3/2/18, app has come a long way. Hardly ever freezes anymore. It's a pleasure to use. But, history channel app is the only one I use that the commercials blast your ear drums, & shows are quiet. Of course now you crank it up, forget that you did, you get the idea. Oh what a fun game to play

This app crashes way too much. I am tired of rebooting it and then scrolling and scrolling and scrolling to find the episode I want to watch. You need let users have "Favorites" . Where we can mark our favorite shows and they are kept in a separate listing, making it A LOT easier for us to find what we want.

This would be a 5-star rating except that the ads are frequent and seemingly long. That's okay I guess, the bills need to be paid. But if I happen to have an episode still on my DVR, I'll watch it there instead. I really like the 10-second rewind button. Thank you. Very nice feature.

Garbage. Wants you to sign into your cable provider to watch. Why would I use this app if I have a TV provider already? Why wouldn't I just use my on screen guide to change the channel to History channel? Update- 3-1-18 History claims you can watch shows directly from the app on Chromecast! Yes you can.....as long as you subscribe to one of the cable providers. They don't support any streaming service except Hulu and directTVnow. I use PlayStation Vue, so can't watch History channel. How about you offer direct streaming of your shows for a monthly fee with no strings attached? This requirement of having to pay certain cable companies to get the service is ridiculous!

They seemed to have fixed the problem with closing down after commercials so I am changing my rating from 4 to 5. Thank you History channel.

We do not have cable and finding this app has made us so happy! We finally get to watch all the shows we love and miss!

There are a lot of great shows available to stream for free, but the app has a major issue. There is no way to set the video quality manually, and the automatic quality does not work very well. In-app, the quality rarely if ever goes above grainy and blurry 480p. When I cast it to my chromecast, however, it goess immediately to 1080p and stays steady at that with no buffering at all. It is the same internet connection, so there is no reason I shouldn't be able to get 1080p on my tablet as well. If I could set the quality manually or the automatic setting worked a little better, this app would be 5 stars for sure. Until then, I can really only watch videos on this app through the chromecast, which is a shame.

Way too many ads. Every 6min there's a 3min commercial, even with my subscription. I'd rather just pirate the shows...

App works well. I like having all episodes available to watch. Understand the need for commercials, but would like to see not as many or at least some different ones in a series.

I don't know if it is my internet or my phone, but this app seems to want to buffer, a lot. Like every 10 min. Other than that, a good app

Lots of glitches. A consistent volume would be nice, commercials blow out my ear drums.

I am a big fan of anything to do with history. Whether it is American or some other part of the world that we live in. So I absolutely love this app.

I enjoy watching The Curse of Oak Island, Hunting Hitler, American Reaper, Unearthed, amongst other! I enjoy History all together! Love this app!!

Works okay if you want to watch some of the archived shows/specials on your phone or tablet. Really wish this app was compatible with Chromecast so family can watch on television's larger screen.

Video keeps freezing then makes ypu back out and rewatch all the adds ypu already watched to get back to the video

Most of the shows on the History Channel are very thought provoking. I have enjoyed watching some quite diverse programs from Hunting Hitler, to Ancient Aliens to Vikings all very different and entertaining.

Like it but to many commercials or advertisement. Just like every other TV app now.

Love the app just wish I could watch more of a season without a subscription I keep getting way into a show then can't finish it otherwise a great app to have!!!!

Very few full episodes available free. Clips and the video extras mostly. All other full episodes require sign in with cable provider. If I had cable wouldn't need the app.

I'm always on the road I don't have a provider I understood it was free

I love the History Channel, because history can be told from many points of views!!! This app. give's me the opportunity to watch my favorite shows anywhere!!!

So far so good hope I can keep going seeing lots of 1 and 2 stars making me concerned some.

It's great app works well on my phone, I'm a Trucker of course Ice Road Truckers is my favorite show to watch.

I love learning and being entertained by the shows on the History Channel. I wish "Vikings" could continue for another 5 seasons!
