Love how the app uses your location. Found out a lot of stuff about San Antonio I never knew.

Great idea. Map doesn't work and based on other reviews, the maps haven't worked for almost a year. Obviously History Channel is not serious.

I saw this on a friend's phone and it looked good, doesn't load maps on my HTC 10.

App won't open on Nexus 6p. Spinning icon for over 5mins. Bummer, was really looking forward to using the app

Does not give a map of your current location with what is near you.

Downloaded, installed (3x), and failed to run on my galaxy 6.

What happened to the map with the pinpoints? It's no longer accessible on my Samsung Galaxy S5. My system is updated. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. All I can access are lists of locations that are too far away from me. Help! I loved this app and now not so much! Very sad. We love to to do road trips and I used this app constantly. Please help me get the map with the pinpoints back!

Nice idea. I liked what was there, but the locations failed to fully open the map in some instances. Keep it up, this can be a very good app. I found locations near me that I had not seen before. Not a lot of meat, but it provides links to Web sites that do.

Worked great, learning things about my area, then I kept getting the dreaded, "History Here has stopped working". I did a force stop, etc...and still getting that message. I'm deleting it for now. Let me know if you get it going. I enjoyed it while it was working. I'm on a LG G5.

Not compatible with my Note 7 Edge for some reason. It doesn't load the map with the pinpointing locations like my previous phone did. I'm very disappointed, as I thoroughly enjoyed the app before and used it often on my excursions when out with the family. Fix immediately please. Thanks.

I had this app on my old phone and I loved it. I have downloaded this app several times and I'm not satisfied with the results. It used to be when I open this app and hit places it would drop pins and I would go from there. It doesn't do that anymore

PLEASE HELP! I have a Galaxy S7 and over 12GB of available memory. When I installed the app I then opened it, and it will never go past the first screen. I tried wiping the cache partition and the cache and data for the app. I even tried uninstalling and then installing again, and it still does the same thing. I would really like to avoid a master reset for this one app. I have no problems with any other 3rd party apps.

We are full time RVers and are always looking for things to see. I just discovered this app and I wish I had it years ago. I like that it knows where I am and tells me everything that is in the area. Thanks so much!

Not real helpful at showing local places. Had to drive 100 to 900 miles to visit any of the places suggested when I know there are many historical places right in my area.

Amazing on a cross country trip. There's something interesting wherever you go. My only complaint is that it crashes too often and can be hard to restart. But it's been with the effort

I live in an area rich with history and I homeschool. This app lets me give spur of the moment facts which helps me engage my sometimes broody teens.

Some cool interface features, and illuminating content. I'd move to 5 stars if they added quirky yet historically accurate and representative history, like "110 year old stables that supplied services to the mounts of the US Army during the Indian Wars, etc. Adding crowd source input that was approved prior to publishing could help scale content and make this a truly cool repository vs. a smart phone-enabled "free in the motel lobby" variety tour guide.

I wish I could use this app- I'm a history fanatic. I've tried downloading it a couple of times over the past few months, though, and the maps never load... I'm just staring at a blank screen. Too bad- I'm going to NYC & DC next week and it would've been super useful

Im in the army and i am stationed here in va. The civil war is my passion and i love this app because i can see and learn battles and skirmish just while getting groceries.

Map does not work. Don't understand why. It's a huge let down. First thought it was my note 4 so I got another phone and it's the same on a brand new LG phone a friend has. Really disappointed

On a road trip and can't get the app to work. We've tried on 4 different phones and the map is not working!

Used to LOVE this app as a history buff. Have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and it does not work now. Sounds like many phones are having issues. PLEASE FIX!!

The app works like it says but there is not much content with information it can provide. Just contains information about the history with in the USA. Not about much else.

Unfortunately, map data has stopped loading on this app. The page will be blank. The map in the "History Here" app has crashed, unable to open, and it has shut down.

just doesn't work anymore... i tried on my galaxy s5 and s7 edge, this stinks i was in sleepy hallow and i really wanted to find more things to do

I love this app! The only suggestion that I have is this: i like to use the star function to mark the places that I'd like to go, but it would be awesome if there was a way to mark the places that you've already visited.

Awesome application u really learn allot about history no matter where u at in this world,,, a must have… u never know what happened in your on backyard. Promise.

Unfortunately, i just get the spinning circle and nothing will load. Hopefully that fix this soon- it sounds amazing.

Map feature not working. Would be an excellent app if it did. Others have complained, still not fixed.

Started using this application here in Las Vegas and have had a blast exploring things I never knew were here! Take the time to turn it on wherever you are and you may be surprised what is right around you! Have fun and good luck!

No matter where we go we can now easily find great historic sites. Some are very popular but some are off the beaten path. Very good app.

I especially love history, and to have found/came across an app whee it will tell me places in my area that I did not know about in regards to historic places, I love it!! Thanks guys, great job, defently 5 stars!!

I live in las vegas and unlike popular be life I don't live on the strip there is a whole city off the strip and plenty 9f history but all the history bubbles are on old vegas and the strip I would like an update with all our rich old West and mining history and much more as well

A very good app that gives the location & a brief description of what has passed before us.

One of my favorite travel apps. Easy to use, lots of info. Have found some neat things to go see.

We use this app during family trips to visit historical sites in the surrounding area.

This is a great app when it works. Unfortunately that only happens about 25% of the time.

The first time I used this app the local search results revealed numerous historical sites right around me. Of course I was aware of the more famous historic sites nearby, but I am amazed how many more points of interest the app actually found!

Love finding out the history of places we visit. Very informative
