Using this app to access the files shared between two computers and two servers. Works great, access is very fast! Only downside is that you sometimes have to repeat a download because it fails to open the file.

This app works great and has replaced dropbox in transferring certain files to my phone. Unfortunately, I can't give it 5 stars because I can't find a way to export /download without opening.

Awesome to have a private cloud, but some issues are: 1) Doesn't support SD memory card on Android. HUGE over site. Needs to see the SD card for loading files. 2) Does not have right click option to choose how file is open. It only downloads. It can't stream files. 3) Download speeds DEPENDS on your UPLOAD bandwidth. If YOU have a slow connection, then it will be slow. 4) Doesn't have resume or pause download. Lose connection, start all over again.

Loved it, except one feature is missing: file icon to show sync status for each file in every folder.

It's a great app, but so sad Hybrid cloud is going to be unavailable soon. Wish the service still continues...

It's been working great, it even sync offline. The only setback is Version History, which cause a few files missing so far.

This app needs a ton of work. Multi-file upload with thumbnails is a start. It also needs sync. Thumbnails on photos would be great. It's hard to find a photo on a remote folder when all you have is a file list to pick from.

aero FS works well in the enterprise. The concept would work well with mobile devices but presently goes from computer to mobile not mobile to computer. Version 1.1.8

Syncing stopped working on one of my PCs. I submitted a support request, which was closed without anybody fixing the problem. After I complained in a new support request, it was kept open but still no one ever followed up. I switched to BTSync. It is open source software and works more reliably. The mobile app can do two way syncing or just download/upload files. From its reviews, apparently their developers are much more responsive and fast to fix things.

I've been using AeroFS for awhile now, and it's pretty decent. On the desktop, it's very solid. I have three computers in two separate locations that are "serving" for AeroFS. They all automatically sync great. It's basically like a geographically distributed RAID Array that's remotely accessible. The mobile app, for android at least, is functional, but not optimal. The latest update has created this ridiculous security feature that requires devices to scan a QR Code from a web browser to sync to an existing AeroFS "server". I have a nook, with no camera, I'm hesitant to update it for fear I won't be able to connect. I also have a Nexus 7 and a Note Pro. I was trapped in a situation where I only had the tablet and needed to log in, but couldn't after the update, even though I had the password for the account. Definitely consider this a flaw-billed-as-a-feature. I can only assume it's aimed exclusively at enterprise. It's not good for a regular end user. Also, the inability for this app to write to the "server" basically breaks it as a cloud service. You can pull from the existing AeroFS servers, but you can't add to them. It's a service that's coming along, but not there.

The QR code authentication is cute, but it won't work for my tablet -- which does not have a camera. I am a photographer and decided that I had enough cameras with me that I wouldn't need a camera on my tablet. But, your app provides no means of authentication on devices that do not have a camera. Please add a basic password authentication mechanism as an option. It also needs an integrated photo viewer.

The features it has work great, but I'm hoping to see more in the future. You can't even upload files from the app, so basically all its good for is viewing you stored files.

A terrific idea, and - based on my experience so far - what's there seems well-implemented: the app connects to my computer quickly and stably. The download speed is probably a bit slower than public-server cloud services, but I don't think it's terrible. More problematic is the (acknowledged) lack of two-directional syncing, and the lack of a persistent cache. It sounds like the former issue is being worked on - which is good, since I'm mainly interested in being able to remotely read and highlight PDFs of journal articles stored on my computer. The cache is another matter: I like to do my PDF-reading/highlighting on my Nexus 10 tablet, which doesn't have cell connectivity. I also like being able to work away from Wifi networks, e.g. outside, or at my local coffee shop (which only offers expensive paid Wifi). While I could always just download the file in question to my tablet's memory, it would be much more convenient if I could "favorite" it (Dropbox-style) in AeroFS and thereby have an offline copy, at least until I can connect again (even if I can't yet upload changes back to my computer.) Still, lots of potential here.

The maximum I have got over my 300 Mbps wifi lan connection is 2 MBps. Can do faster. Much Much faster. Unlimited space is a great incentive. But my Psd files are huge. They suffer over a paltry 6 metres. Please check your overheads. Sincerely. Otherwise you guys rock. Don't even use airdroid anymore.

Might be that I have an old account (beta user from before ACLs were in place), but the Android client thinks I am a viewer of my own account and refuses to connect. I sent a support request to AeroFS and got no response.

Aerofs syncs folders on multiple PC's, but doesn't sync files that are opened and edited on an android device. Until file syncing is an option, I personally don't see the benefit of this android app.
