with a Note 4, you can't bring up the preferences screen since Note 4's menu button is mapped to 'recent app's; it worked well with a Note 3 and older though. Edit: just found a way to get to menu by holding down the menu button; so I like this app because it allows you to choose to read any incoming messages; what I really like about this is that, you can go back and read a particular text. I haven't found this feature on any reader apps. so I'm changing my rating.

Loving the app. I am on the road alot and when I am in my car my phone is linked to Bluetooth but it doesn't read the text messages. This app has been a Godsend. For those of you who are trying to get to the settings menu on Samsung devices, while in the app all you have to do is press and hold the back touch key at the bottom of your phone and that will bring up the preferences menu option.

This app does not sort my contacts properly. It says, "A message from xxxx." But, the message is from ME! Also, it does not take you to an entire thread or conversation without having to continuously tap the speaker to read each text. Also, each text is not divided into WHO is actually saying what. One name is used for all of the text of any given conversation and on some conversations, the WRONG contact's picture is there........uninstalled.

Of course asking for certain features doesn't mean that the product is not good already. But if I could block certain numbers that would be perfect. I have had to uninstall the product several times because of certain numbers coming through that were a total embarrassment.

Only set back is that the SMS reader reads your text and if you didn't respond to the text in the reader, then go back to you phone's text message to send the reply. .the message is not there. You can't read the message your responding to because it was in the reader. Please fix that.

After disconnecting from my BT the messages are still being read out loud. If this could be disabled when I log off I would give this a higher rating!

I've tried then all including the pro versions... This is the only one that works like it is supposed to. It reads to the blue tooth so I can get texts read to me without it being played aloud on the phone. It stays connected to the blue tooth!

The actual reader part works perfectly. I would rate it higher if I could turn it on and off. I use it when I'm on my bike. I don't need it when I'm not riding and would like to be able to turn it off without turning the volume off or totally disabling the app. Second problem is if I use the app to respond to messages, the person I'm responding to does not receive the response. I have to close the app and go back to the regular messaging app.

I tried installing it half an hour ago and its still downloading its self!!! Even worse I can't stop it and its draining my battery!!! Can any1 give me some advice??PLEASE!!!

Great but English is ok. But mes in other language's r messed up. Even it says caller names.

I have used this app daily for months during my long commute to and from work. It works well and is stable. The only thing I would like added is perhaps the ability to change the female voice. Other than that, I think the app is pretty good.

It reads text aloud well, but stutters when announcing caller sounds like Porky Pig! Please fix. All in all a useful app.

Reads messages consistently and clearly. A box pops up for me to write a reply but that doesn't work on my S5

The app does not consider the phone settings. It reads the messages even if your phone is on vibrate or silent mode.

Slow down the speed of reading. Now its on 6th gear. Bring it down to 4th gear. The message should be read calm and measured note panicky. Tq

I haven't tested this in the car with the Blue Tooth yet, but it comes across on speaker pretty well. It took a bit to get used to the different symbols for operating the app.

Installed to htc evo 3d. PROS: Does exactly as advertised...BUT! CONS: There is no way for message recipient to both receive a message and 'then' choose to listen to it or not. You can only configure the app to play the message or not 'before. (rather than after) you receive the message. So, you either get a message with no way to play it after it arrives, or you get the message played right away. Uninstalling

At first I couldn't get this app to work. Then I un installed Handcent SMS. App is working now. Need to go through settings and tweak it to my desires. Pretty insistent about getting one to rate it. ...

Who needs tools that help them throughout the day? Me! And this app helps me. So many times I've missed important messages because of one reason or another, but this app helps me hear my messages when they come in so I don't have to have my phone in hand when I'm busy, driving or have my hands full. It works well and I like the voice.

It does what it is supposed to do but I don't want the reply field, then it doesn't show up with everything else. And I need to be able to SHUT IT OFF!

This is a great app. I wish you could talk back to it for a response to the texts. That's not a complaint about this app though. Because it works like the description said it would.

Runs good. Messages are read loud and clear, very handy while working and not having to look at your phone to read texts.

The images show a settings menu, but there isn't one. Using a note 5. Sounds like crap, super basic and no way to access settings.

Long text messages will not be read in full. A complete tutorial would be helpful seems confusing between the check and the response. Overall not bad

The intro to the message every time is incredibly annoying and there's no way to shut it off. When a message comes through and the little thing pops up there's no way to replay it unless you go back to the main app menu that it's just really stupid. Took me forever to figure out how to get to the Preferences menu because it's such an antique application other than that you can say it works.

I have a long message from someone. I select the long message, hoping it would give the option to READ IT. No frickin' way! This P.O.S*** is going to be un-installed. Look under READ MORE, #1.

This app does not work properly at all and the worst yet.... .... You will not be able to uninstall it.... A large logo will pop up, preventing you to click the uninstal option... STAY AWAY!!!!!

Just like some of the others i wish it didn't read my messages over the speaker.

How can I remove it? I have tried to uninstalled it bt it still reelad. The boring things about it is just u can set it to silent or mote. So I to remove it for a while

It love it. I dont have to look at phone every time i get a text any more. No more textn while driving. It's against the law now.

Works well. I'm in construction so with my Bluetooth headset I can hear notifications without having to grab my phone to check.

Fabulous and useful app, but you need to be able to voice command it to read a message once received and then let you reply by telling it "reply" or something so you can send a message back so us mechanics and carpenters don't have to get put phones all nasty.

Tried to send an email to the developers and it got bounced back. Plus, the listed website name shows that the website name is for sale. Bummer, since it was, IMHO, best of breed and really wanted to consider my request for improvements; see below. Now using Lollipop v5.0.1 on an LG G3; 1. Can't get to "preferences" as I could under older versions of Android and there's no "menu" option showing on the screen. Having the menu symbol show on the screen would be a great benefit. For now, can't turn off read names or anything else nor cannot change color preferences either. 2. Would like to have: for this app to only read out sms messages from my contact favorites. 2.a. Messages from most vendors, ISPs, or cell phone providers do not need to be "read" out., IMHO. 2.b. If that were desirable to "read" messages from a vendor, putting it on my favorites would resolve that issue.

I like this app because it reads my sms messages very accurately. However, I don't like this app because I can't turn it off.

Can read caller names and sms messages. Takes over the Messaging process for new texts, which sucks because your replies are not visible in messaging when you go back to a thread later. Unfortunately there's no way to disable this.

Not bad, few options like wait time before reading out and the option to use only with headset would get this a 5

Needs an off on button. You have to go into the preferences from the app itself just to get it to stop reading your texts. You would think that closing the app would work but it keeps restarting itself as texts come in. Also I would rather it pause my music when reading my texts like other apps do or at least make that an option...

Can't turn it on/off :( reads texts when I don't want it to!
