How to make a Tiled Mirror from Dollar Store Crafts
Decorating a new space is one of our favorite activities here at DIY Projects. It’s a chance to express who you are as well as really get into the DIY spirit. There’s so much inspiration to pull from in the design world and even more ways to make it yourself. One of our go-to decorations for a new space is a mirror. Mirrors are a quick and easy way to add depth to any space.
We love the look of tiled mirrors and found a way to make one using dollar store items. This tutorial on how to make a tiled mirror is super simple and you can keep it under $15. (Even cheaper if you already have duck tape and glue!)
How to make a tiled mirror for less than $15:
Supplies:
- Duck Tape
- 9 mirrors (with frames)
- foam board
- craft glue
Step 1:
You are going to start by attaching the mirrors together using your duck tape. Flip the mirrors over so the mirrored surface is facing down. Start taping! This doesn’t have to look pretty, it just need to hold the mirrors together.
Do this in rows of three, making sure the mirrors are perfectly aligned.
Step 2:
Tape the three rows together along the seams.
Step 3:
To fully reinforce the mirrors, glue the foam core onto the back. We designed our mirror to lean up agains the wall. If you want your mirror to hang, we fully recommend putting a piece of plywood on the back instead of the foam core, then using hanging wire and a staple gun from there.
