Adobe XD

Great little app. It's not perfect, and occasionally it fails to register I've an open XD document on desktop, though it's in beta. Personally very happy this is being built in the open! If Adobe can add fixed elements (e.g. for a tab bar or nav menu) then it'll be the only tool I need!

When I drag objects outside of the artboard on desktop, the preview gets stuck on mobile.. it doesnt refresh any further.. Very good feature though. Hope this be fixed soon. :) Keep up the good work guys.

I've updated, but when everytime I open a file from the cloud always crashes, why? Please help

Never loads when I click to pick a project from my cc files. Basically the app just doesn't work at all on my phone so I'll be uninstalling unless this gets fixed. Obviously I dont want an app on my phone that literally does nothing except load and time out. Thank you.

It's a very helpful app but the lack of font support makes it kind of useless. It doesn't even support basic mobile fonts which is really frustrating because you can't really see your design as you intended. Until the font issue is fixed, it's not as useful as I would like it to be. Edit: I get licensing issues for paid fonts but what about free ones? Fonts like Roboto, which is a default on a lot of phones, don't even show up. As for their USB solution, not everyone owns a Mac so it's not very helpful at all.

It's incredibly useful to wirelessly sync these files with your mobile device. And the support for Creative Cloud is extra helpful when sharing designs and prototypes with other team members. However, there are two glaring caveats that must be mentioned. One is the lack of font support. Even the majority of web safe fonts are not supported when previewing these files. It will definitely make your designers agnostic when choosing serif and sans-serif typefaces. The second is the performance while viewing a prototype on your phone. While page transitions are smooth, scrolling is at a very low frame rate. This can create negative impact when demoing for a client, or conducting user tests. (Update: This was recently fixed in the latest version update. Thank you for the improvement!) Lastly, as other comments have stated, the live preview is only available when using XD on a Mac. I've never found that to be incredibly upsetting since everything automatically syncs with Creative Cloud every time you save.

Only Mac? What year is this? I pay $70 for the Creative Cloud per month and mostly use Adobe on my really beafy Windows machine and only my Macs for traveling. Fix this. This is ridiculous. And telling me you cannot access USB connection on Windows must be a joke, right?

I have the option to connect the app with my computer but it says "MAC only", so what I can't understand is, are you trolling me or you are genuinely that stupid thinking that you need a MAC in order to design? Followup, I have connected my Android phone with Macbook and the Photoshop says "iOS devices only". Seriously, what is the purpose of this app? It works fine with iPhone but not with Android.

It's a good initial step in the right direction. I have yet to get fonts (I've even used source sans pro synced from typekit) to work correctly in any prototype....very frustrating.

Xd live preview on mobile doesn't work. While connected to Mac, it disturb the connection between mac & android, thus we need to shut down Xd in order to transfer files via USB.

Won't even respond to touches on my Pixel. Can't get passed the first screen. When it would work, fonts couldn't be imported and live preview is Mac only. I want to use this for designing but it Adobe is really making it tough in practice.

I cant open any file, it always force close and restart. Already update the apps to latest version 1.2.6 (iOS&Android 7.0) It said " the file was outdated..blablabla". And i already update the software to the latest version 0.8.22 (Win10) And still wont open anything

Not loading the xd on the creative file, plus the new app is so bad, bring back previous version. Web files also not working.

Great for rapid prototyping, but missing key features like interactions such as dropdowns and hover states. This is, afterall, for desktop views as well. Also, project comet sold us the ability to use real data for mockups and this feature hasn't made its way to XD yet, which is its most impressive feature. Great start Adobe, but much more to integrate before it takes down sketch or axure.

Installed today so will give only one problem that i came across so far. The screen remains on even when I'm not doing anything. I left the app on creative cloud tab. After around 45 minutes I found out that my screen was still on the very same page. Can you please check and tell why screen didn't lock itself.

It was good but the latest update did not work well for me though. Everytime I want to preview my work, it says the file format is outdated. Tried a few things to solve the problem, but doesn't work. Please help!

Would crash every time I opened it, would load xd documents from creative cloud up to 66% then would crash. Worked okay through a Mac but still frustrating when I wanted to display the app away from a computer.

I just installed both XD on win 10 and here on android this morning. When i try to preview the XD file i stored on my creative cloud, it says that I have to use the updated XD format?? What does it mean? I have ally software n apps updated

Can't see live preview on Android phones, it requires Mac only, pls update for windows.

Back button should take the user to previous page in the app, but it minimize the app. Not a good UX, please fix it.

Excellent start so far. Would love to see the addition of fixed header & footer for mobile scrolling.

Excellent idea for an almost-real testing but this app is missing a few key features like: 1. If there's a missing font, tell me where is located. I've been going nuts trying to find a rogue font on the desktop app. 2. Easy refresh. Often the app updates the design, but most of the time i have to unplug-plug my phone just to refresh the design.

Was having crashing problems on multiple devices. Dev pushed an update right away to resolve the problem. It didn't fully fix it, but the update did allow me to download from creative cloud at least, so the app is at least usable. It still crashes when loading via USB.

Hi, i uploaded my xd project to creative cloud, and i open in adobe xd android... but is project error and show "error rendering asset"... i see this project 0 kb

Promising app, yet every time I connect my phone via USB I get a loading screen through two cycles then it crashes consistently, even after reinstalling

Keeps crushing and hanging when I use my android phone. I wish it was equally as fluid on android as it is on iOS.

Great but usb loading project do not work with android phones, such a pitty.

First off you need to make it more spent that USB connect doesn't work for Windows versions. Second the Adobe cc projects simply doesn't work at all for me, it a says I don't have any projects when I can clearly see it in the browser under my address. The app is more useless
