Smart TV Remote

I have a Haier TV model 48E2500A which is not supported in this app. I use COX as my cable provider but I own TiVo STB's which are not supported by this app. I own a Samsung BlueRay model BD-F5700 which is not supported by this app. I do own an Amazon Dot and I was excited when I found this app but it doesn't work with my components and from looking at the setup it has very few models that it does support. Please notify me if you add my component models to the supported list. BUMMER!

I Have a Samsung UE468000 tv and the remote app is Not Connected after turning tv off , On switch turns white so can only turn off!!! TOO MANY ADS AND LOOKING AT THE REVIEWS LOTS OF UNHAPPY TECH SAVVY CUSTOMERS!!!

Works very well but the buttons do nothing after locking and unlocking phone. The app has to be closed and reopened again to work.

It's good so far. But I can't control channels at this time. Hopefully a compatible Cable box selection will be added. Until then I'm rating 3

Found my tv but don't work and wayyyyyyyyyyyy to many ads. A ad pops up ever 10 seconds like really..

So they just making apps just to get a down load?? Google should shut down every app that has one star..

Incredibly difficult to connect with Alexa and only turn d TV off, never on. Instructions and support are lousy at best.

Not able to connect my TV with the app and further to Alexa.

Does not work with my Samsung 4k TV. No way to add the security PIN to allow connection.

This is dumb there is no way to access the smart TV

Does not work with my Samsung smart tv. Connects over network but nothing works. Links to Alexa but nothing works. Sorry for the bad rating but if a tv is not supported there should be a list somewhere. Edited - j and h model tv's only work with infrared. So if you want to control the tv with infrared only then it will work.

I like the app, but it goes to sleep and freezes after a few minutes of my phone being locked. This means Alexa can't control the tv. I have to unlock my phone, close the app and reopen. Is this a phone setting I need to change? Samsung edge. Edit: after a lot of fiddling with battery settings etc I found that the actual fix was: Settings. Apps. Special access. Optimise.select app. turn off. Alexa tells me things aren't working sometimes but it still does it.

This app is great! The developer knows his thing. If you're bitching because of the adds, do yourself a favor and purchase the full version.

The smart remote pro Alexa skill will not register the skill. I've had Alexa scan for new devices a few times and it won't complete the registration. Can't use it to control my tv sadly.

I didn't work with my Samsung, I do have IR on my phone as I was using the Samsung app. Just says no TV found. I don't like the clear screen either, hard to read.

Edit from previous review. Got the app working by connecting as a K series. Not really sure what defines the series but the app works now. Only channel control don't work since that's controlled by the cable box not TV. But that's not the apps fault. Model number is: UN50KU630DFXZA Version No: DG10. EDIT: TV comes up as D-series for some reason but D-series on the app doesn't connect to the TV, so I connected as K-series (TV purchased in Dec 2016). That worked but dropped the connection later. Reconnected as M-series and that seemed to work but start getting notices when I turned on the TV that a new HDMI connection existed every time I turned on the TV. not sure if that was App related but it went away when I stopped using the app. Will give it one more try.

Wouldn't even connect to my vizio smart tv, I have a galaxy s7 so I don't know if it has an infrared blaster. I'm just trying to get this app so I can control my tv with my echo dot

App won't even find my network let alone find my Samsung UE46F6800, whilst using my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Total waste of time.

Downlaoded the app and linked my Samsung TV via Wi-Fi network. Enabled the smart remote tv skill in Alexa, registered in app, search for new device in Alexa smart home. Boom! Worked first time. Only downside is can't turn on tv via Wi-Fi, but that's not a fault of the app.

Where to start. The app is weak in design, difficult to manage and doesn't work. And yes the ads are terrible and irritating

Doesn't seem to work with my Samsung UE40H5500. Says connected (connects with both K and M series) but none of the funcationality work. Are you able to help?

This app is unusable. First, it didn't even work with my Vizio e500i smart tv nor my Sony str-dh750 av receiver. I've never had a problem finding and connecting my equipment with any other remote app. Others nowadays have an option for a "most tvs" in the brand type. I tried all three (that's right, ONLY 3 models for Vizio are compatible) and not a single one worked. There were very, very few models available overall. Not to mention it was a hassle to use and navigate the app, and there were WAY many ads. This rendered the functionality borderline unusable. I won't pay for a full version to remove agressive ads when the app is clunky and wont even connect my devices. I will update my review only IF they make it easier to navigate, add more compatible models, and tone down the ads a bit. Im okay with some ads in exchange for free services, but they were intrusive and much too frequent. It would've been decent if it worked because it is compatible with Alexa and smartwatches. Oh well, I guess I'll keep looking.
