AcuraLink for Android
What a disappointment. The engineers are at Honda and Acura that thought this was a good idea should be fired. I am a long time Acura owner, and I am just simply embarrassed by this. Let's put this into perspective, for more than two decades (1996) General Motors has had their OnStar system functioning nearly perfectly. The Japanese can't figure this out?
Basic vehicle info shouldn't require a subscription. When I was paying for it it took forever to do anything. Garbage. By the way, Pandora usually doesn't load either. Not really a luxury brand.
Was able to download but that's it, can't register. Registration page is completely blank. I can add my car but what's the point if I can't register to get all the perks of the app? I can do all same stuff that just adding the car does without the app. Highly disappointed!
I can live with it being slow since I figure it's just the network the car uses, but it would be much more useful if there was a way for the app to update at certain intervals in the background, and send you alerts based on that. For example, if my car is off, but my doors are unlocked or my trunk is open, the app should notify me. That should be a pretty simple feature to implement. There's a base for something cool here so I hope the resources are being put into this to make it great.
Don't like the new design but it's ok. Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to remote start my vehicle via this app! Make this happen & I'll pay for the subscription.
So slow and clunky with lock and unlock. I can run out to my car faster. The connection to the car.....sucks.
Kinda useless in Canada. Cannot search for Canadian dealership, units not in metric, slow to connect to the car to read status.
Acura should be embarrassed to have released this so late compared to the U.S. market and for it being a complete failure when they did. Disappointing to say the least.
This has nothing for 2015 mdx base model. Very disappointed:(
Total junk. Horrendous trying to get it even set up. Same with all the other tech on new RDX I bought. I wish I hadn't.
Just a joke... Having 2018 TLX V6, but the amount of options and info in your app... No comment
Location search is worse than a 2004 Garmin POS 5000.
Useless - Unable to connect to 2017 TLX
How do you change the setting to use km?
Does nothing
I'm happy enough with the app, now that you guys have added the car locator. My main gripe with the Acura is that it had no setting to automatically lock the car when you walk away. My previous GM car had that option, and it was wonderful, because you knew that no matter what, if you walked away, your car would be locked and safe. Now, I have to be paranoid and think whether I remembered to lock it all the time. Sure, I can do it with the app, but why should I have to even think twice? I should have the choice to have the car lock itself whenever I walk away, end of story. Please consider doing that.
Not something I'd expect from a premium brand, no matter who the parent company is. The update is fresh paint and I like the changes in the interface, but the units are locked to imperial. I am with the majority of the world that uses metric, please update with a setting to change this. The addition of "find my car" is late but appreciated none-the-less. I would gladly pay to extend my service if the following changes are made: 1. Inclusion of remote start for those vehicles who have it installed. 2. Ability to open and close power windows and sunroof. 3. Ability to toggle the heated/cooled seats. I don't think any of these are out of reach as my key fob is able to do all of the above, minus the heated/cooled seats. If my clunky fob is able to do it, an advanced and intuitive app should do it faster and better. If you programmers at Acura/Honda ever read these, please consider those changes. Thanks.
Acura, have you heard It's 2017? I should be able to write costco and the map should be able to locate it. Such a horrible, horrible app
New update improved the app slightly. However, I'm in Canada but the odometer now displays only miles and there's no where yo change it back to km. please fix
The app sends me literally 50 messages a day telling me that my subscription will expire in over a month from now. I called AcuraLink and they told me it must be a communication preference because they only see one message sent to me. I could live with one message a week but 50 a day is obnoxious.
I like the idea of the app but it's slow and the text notifications to my phone doesn't work so I was told from the tech department that it was my phone carrier which I tried different phones from different carriers and still no text if they fix the text and speed I'll give it a 5 star update after days of working on it Cricket carriers must put it on AT&T for the text notifications
App does not work very well.
This app used to work 2 or 3 versions ago but no longer connects with my vehicle.why have an app if it doesn't work.
Telling me my Car isn't compatible
Cannot connect since last update (used to be OK).
This app is horrible
Better....Thank you! Give us SOMETHING! Now keep it going. ..
Really dissatisfied and disappointed with the app. I prepaid for a 5 year subscription but the app is bad. The map function is poor. Have the time I have to look the address up on Google to input to this app. It is very slow. You have a 50/ 50 chance to get a status on the car. No remote start is inexcusable. Exactly what am I paying for? Acura screwed the pooch on thus one!
I was mislead by the sales consultant at the dealer into thinking that this app/service was on par with the competition. It most definitely is not. Considering that it is 2017 this app is nothing short of pathetic. Acura's reputation is going to continue to suffer and the gap between them and other luxury brands will continue to grow as long as they ignore important details like this that matter a great deal to their potential customers.
Absolutely one of the worst apps I have ever used. Acura should be ashamed of themselves and fire every software engineer and supervisor that's associated with this app. It's unbelievable that they would even release such a terrible app. For crying out loud Dodge has a better app. Nothing works as it should. NOTHING! For a vehicle that's labeled as high class they sure missed the mark with their app.
Only remote features are door unlock, flash lights, honk horn and the most useful Remote start is missing. Android Auto app is free and has way more to offer in terms of message handling and music. Why would anybody want to pay for this premium service? Also, why is the app just called "connect" in my app drawer? This means it won't show up in any on-device searches.
Up till today, the app was working fine. Now it tells me everything is wrong with my car from the brakes to the collision mitigation system. WRONG.
Buggiest app I've ever seen. Commands take sometimes several minutes to go through. Currently stuck on the dreaded loading screen again. Why did I pay for this service???
I cannot even pass sign in step, its asking me for enering symbols, but the CAPTCHA does no diaplay anything.
The app doesn't work at all!
This app is very poorly developed and not worth the price tag they charge for the Connect and the Premium Packages. I can see why the Standard Package is free for 3 years. It fails or freezes most of the times and extremely slow for an app which is supposed to help the driver make on-time decisions. The live traffic update takes forever to update the screen which is so inconvenient when on the road. Frequently, the sync and remote does not respond when you access the program. Customer Service I give them a 2 star also for not being very helpful in coming up with solutions for the folks who are paying to use this app, only excuses. Sad for Acura owners.
Tells me my VIN is not valid, cant get any help from Honda/Acura. Obviously, they arent monitoring the feedback on this app or (more likely) dont give a darn. Since I was sold on this promise that this feature was great, Im returning the vehicle.
This app doesn't make any sense. Why does it have so many shortcomings compared to the competition? No remote start is just silly not to have. Plus the load times to get data is atrocious. I've seen turtles move faster. C'mon guys I know you can do better than this. 2016 RDX owner.
I just got the update, tried it, was saying that it just sync'ed but info showing is not updated. The data in application is deciving.

The Demo is an illustration for the TLX, but when I added my car, the ILX, all the cool stuff disappeared. All I'm left with is stuff like: schedule a service appointment, call Acura client services, roadside assistance, view owner's manual features guide and warning lamps. Tapping any of those loads a webpage ... something I could have done without the app. What happened to the "door unlock", "turn on lights", "honk horn", "locate car" and "get directions"? The Demo app looks like something good, but when you apply it to your car, then you're left naked in the street.
