As an actor & someone who has worked in casting, I truly value that a top CD sure the past two decades has taken the time to create a valuable resource for professional actors. Too often in LA we are treated like children or newbies, and this app gives current info at our fingertips. I prefer the premium version, and as a bicameral actor love that I get the info on NYC as well.

It's great if you pay for the upgrade, buy if you don't, you're basically just getting advice (although, the advice is pretty good). It's also great if you want a heads up about what's casting.

Definitely worth the $10 if you're serious about your career. Where else are you going to get all this great info in one place? The contact info for all the CDs agents and mangers is worth the purchase price alone. Accurate and updated.

It gives u helpfull advice and legit auditions but to access any information on the casting call u hve to buy the nine dollar full version, but the biggest downfall is the glitch sometimes whn u try to access it, it loads but then say no data!

No feature to create search profile for roles "Fit for me". Must manually read each posting. Many postings don't list roles they are casting for. Region set to LA (good) but NY jobs continue to show up (bad). Most features (e.g. Agents, and Managers lists) are "paid version" only. Unable to evaluate.

This app needs 10 per year subscription to really work. Info is available already from other sources. It causes my phone to freeze when it updates in the background.

The app itself is great but there's a very annoying bug for my phone. It puts like 10 instances of the app in the Default Applications for Home screen, effectively making it so you can't set home to what you want. It's incredibly annoying. Please fix!

I've uninstalled and re-installed this app multiple times. I always get updates and notifications from, however, whenever I try to open ActorGenie, the app always reads as "no data found." I paid the yearly fee and it still fails. The idea for this kind of app is amazing for an LA based actor. I just wished it worked.

I downloaded this app in March, it is now August and the casting notices have never changed once. Besides having some info on agents and casting people, there's not much else here to go on. Quite disappointed. Cancelling my membership.

I honestly think this would be an amazing app but however it only list 2 places (LA and NYc) I'm pretty sure there are tons of people that want to be actors and actresses that are not in those areas. And besides it shouldn't be that hard for them to find a role or 2 since that's where most of filming is located

I live in Los Angeles I downloaded this app I paid the extra subscription thinking I would get more information and help with casting info as described. After paying the $10 for the pro or whatever they called it it worked even worse. I cancelled my subscription and I want my money back.

This app is not working properly. Majority of the times when I open it, there is an error message saying no data found. The app is also not up to date like it should be with what's currently casting. There are projects still listed from 2013. Unless this app gets fixed and updated, I want my $9.99 back because I didn't sign up for this!

They need more locations than just NYC and LA......and the most helpful thing for us fly-over state actors is to have a search function based on shooting location.......not just show office locations.....plenty is shot in Vancouver, CA and Texas and other places so auditioning usually happens there.......
