ScreenBeam Config Utility for Android
used to work ok after messing around with it forever the firt day i got it. since the last update no longer works, and i cant find anything anywhere that says concerns are being addressed but i can find complaint after complaint very easily, hmmmm. another piece of crap non working device with no help from anyone anywhere, their "support" is a joke. what a joke of a product this has become.
I'll admit, I bought the ScreenBeam Pro without doing a lot of research.. So, I was a bit mad at myself when my HTC M10 wouldn't connect to it. The M10 connected to my Netgear PTV3000 (w/ chronic quality issues) successfully, so I tested my Galaxy Note 7. My Note 7 had no issues connecting to the ScreenBeam. Before "inevitably" returning the ScreenBeam, I decided to do a quick Google search and found this app! Worked better than I'd hoped (^_-)
It works on some screens. My tablet recognize it but can't exit and when I do it goes off. My use not working on my other laptop. I had to search to find the solution and the problem. Update will help for command problems.
To people complaining about this no longer working since updating to nougat, you're wrong. Swipe down the menu at the top of your screen, swipe right, and click on smart view. Also, this app needs to be updated in order for us to properly access and update our screenbeam minis while running nougat.
This whole setup is garbage...keeps telling me to configure every time I connect. I spent about 2 hours trying to get it to work with all my devices and nothing.
I can connect to my TV with no problem. The video quality is excellent. My only problem is that the volume fluctuates quite a bit and I have found no way to stop it from doing so. It doesn't matter what application I run (Netflix, Amazon video, etc.) The sound fluctuates considerably. It will go from barely able to hear to uncomfortably loud. I have used it with 3 different devices (LG G3, Samsung Galaxy S6, and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge) and had the same problem each time.
Not useful at all. Casting from my tablet is a total disaster. Don't buy this slow device...Sorry I did.
I want my 3 hours of trying to connect this thing back. HORRIBLE. miracast connected to YOUR screenbeam device on the very 1st try.
This is for updating your actiontec device. It doesn't turn on screen mirroring. You need another app for that if not built in. I've used the actiontec ScreenBeam device with the Samsung Galaxy nexus, S3, S4, S5, note2, note3, and note4. I've bought 8 of them to share. Never had any issues. This app is great because it provides updates to the devices firmware on a regular basis that have consistently improved every time! Update: one of the recent device updates allows bluetooth headphones to work! Thanks!
This app works great when it works. Over time the connection has become increasingly inconsistent. It's always a crapshoot weather it connects and even when it does the connection may not hold.
After the last update on my Samsung Galaxy 7,whenever i log into netflix,screenbeam instantly disconnects me..fix this please..it still mirrors everything else,but after the new galaxy update netflix disconnects me...
You will definitely be wasting your money and a whole lot of time trying to make something work that will never work you have been warned.
Doesn't work with Google Pixel. The app finds the screenbeam receiver, but can't connect to it. The screenbeam reports that something went wrong...
This is the best ever I had in life mines work very well and I had it for 2 Years works perfect dropped it a couple times still work like a champion I love it thanks to screenbeam you the best bro
I used a phone with an older version of android 5.0.2 and it worked to update screenbeam. My new phone with Android 7 did not work.
Terrible product and an even worse app. Will not connect to our tablet, computer, laptop, or phones (neither android nor apple). No matter what we do, the error, "Oops, something went wrong" keeps popping up. Actiontec doesn't even have a help/setup page for the ScreenBeam Mini2. Keep your receipt close.

Constantly crashes and takes more than ten minutes and rebooting my phone over and over before I can connect.

Ever since Netflix updated I can connect while the app is open. If I open it after connecting I lose the connection. Please help.
After 8week the been stop working, not connection.

Worked for a few days and now it never connects.
In the beginning, it couldn't connect! I called the company and learnt that I have to turn on smart connect on my galaxy s8 phone first. Then it worked like a charm.
The app does not connect to dongle properly after upgraded to Android 7.0, please fix
It does what it says..my kitchen tv is not smart so connecting to screan beam allows to stream..great app and product
Used the Screenbeam flawlessly with my Note5, but the screen shattered and I moved onto an S7. Does not detect when scanning.

Whit my tablet samsung T310. It almost never connect. I worked OK before the upgrade. No it does not connect.
Using Note 4 running Android 4.4.4. App works fine, but is a bit fussy wrt the TV. It is very slow. You must have the TV selected to the correct HDMI channel or it won't update. Phone display is slightly cropped. Not sure how to adjust that.
Won't work at all! I click on the link in the app to connect, but it just takes me to settings Oo I am screwed! :(
I was loving it both before and after the firmware upgrade. Then today, whenever I tried connecting to it, either in my Android Lollipop display settings, or via the app, it would say I'm being connected, then BAM! the stick restarts itself. Every time. Without fail.
Unable to update sbwd60a firmware using this app.
ScreenBeam Utility v1.3.0.0 connects to TV but fails to go to "magic is about to happen" message; then it simply goes to exit Utility message request. Just does not work.

I did everything possible to try and get this thing to work wasted 3 hours used 4 different devices. The information that they give us they never told me I had to download the app for it to try and work it took me a day to figure that out. When I did figure it out it does not work garbage garbage garbage garbage garbage. You guys should be giving me money for wasting my time since I have to take this back to Best Buy you make Best Buy look like garbage too

I LOVED, like five stars loved, my screenbeam until my Galaxy S7 Edge updated its IOS and now I can't watch Netflix, Kodi, any network TV apps or get audio on any IG vids. It still casts to my tv and I can view facebook, the web, etc, but I bought it to watch TV shows and movies. Screenbeam- KEEP UP! I used mine every day. Run an update. It was flawless and now it's useless.
